By the way, have you ever taken a lab hunting? These dogs run up to game, grab the neck, and shake as violently as possible in order to break the neck of anything that may still be alive. Domestic labs, like mine, still have that genetic ability and it shows whenever I play tug of war with her.
Granted, pit bulls have the genetic makeup to be more aggressive than other dogs, but if you train them to be nice they're some of the best animals I've ever spent time with.
You're a horrible dog trainer if the dog shakes the bird at all. The dog should pick up the bird gently.
yeah because people who intend to raise a vicious guard dog are going to go out and buy a lab. do you have any idea how stupid that entire post was?
Read my post a few posts up. Your argument is completely invalid. Probably should mention that my dog isn't a rotty or a pitty, it's a fucking little dog that looks almost identical to the one I'm going to post below but without all the hair on it's ears. So now do you have any idea how stupid you look? Probably not because you're too stupid.

You don't see stories about Labs ripping someone to pieces and killing them.
There are stories of Mastiffs attacking people, and they are pretty gentle dogs.
I own a German Rottweiler and he is the biggest suck ever; he thinks he is a 10 pound dog while he is actually 110-120 pounds. Raising him around other people and other animals kept him calm around them while growing up. It does really depend on the owner, as I had many dogs in my life time, multiple rottweiler along with friends having rottweiler and Pit bulls and they all turned out very nice and never attacked anyone for no reason or out of fear.
Pitbulls, and lots of pitbull mixes, have the physical tools to do some major damage to people, that's part of it. There is no room for error with a pitbull.
That's the one thing pitbull supporters refuse to acknowledge. In the end, training/breeding/socialization- all that is irrelevant because the ONE time a pitbull fucks up it will maim or kill. The one time a beagle fucks up someone will kick him in the head and send him flying.
I own a big ass rottweiler, and she's one of the softest dogs you'll ever meet. My 20lb. pug runs the house as opposed to my 130 lb rottweiler.

lmfao
"refuse to acknowledge" let me tell you something, I have two german shepherd mixes that are far more likely to cause you grievous bodily harm and probably death than any pitbull is. They haven't caused anyone harm yet because I'm not a bad dog owner and I actively acknowledge that my dogs are potential dangers so I keep them secured.
Pitbulls are relatively small dogs. They don't have much bodyweight and its a trait of the breed to lock onto a limb and hold for dear life. This is trait that has been bred into them for the original purpose of bull baiting.
A shepherd on the other hand is far larger and after it mauls your limbs and gets you rolling on the ground it's going to go for the throat.
Are you joking, there are far more dangerous breeds than pitbulls. People who think pitbulls have some magical killing capability are dumb. They are literally purpose bred to be bait and hold dogs.
Could sit here all day and name a hundred breeds that are just as or more likely to kill you "the ONE time" they "fuck up".
You forget one thing, the pitbull's toolbox has an 'impervious to pain' unlock.
I wouldn't be scared of a German Shepherd, purebred or not, because they bite but they are also able to be hurt back, and they will retreat. Not trained attack dogs, but we're talking street dogs, the kind that are in the average person's home or backyard, or roaming around.
A pitbull though won't care if you hit it, poke its eyes, cut it open, whatever. Once it's attacking you need to kill it or hope it chooses to let you go for some reason.
Big dogs in general are dangerous, because they are big dogs. No one disputes that, not even owners of big dogs. But how many times have I heard pitbull owners claim their breed is no more dangerous than any other? More times than I can count, which why I say they are in denial.

Yeah, because people do not get Labs for the specific reason of training them to become vicious.
Pit Bulls are only as violent as the environment which they're raised in, it's the people that are to blame. No dog is violent by nature.
Can't believe how many morons agreed with your ignorant comment.

Uhm. I don't think you know what you're talking about at all. German Shepards, purebred or not are huge fucking dogs, used quite frequently as attack dogs, as guard dogs and police dogs. They are highly strong, very heavy and have some incredible hunting instincts that translate into serious damage to their target. Unlike what you just said, they will stop attacking due to pain in rate circumstances. They are a serious breed that actually doesn't give a shit about that.
Yes, pit bulls can do that. I'm much more scared of a German Shepard running me down.
If you'd please stop lying and misrepresenting a dog breed that'd be great

You realize those types of dogs arent usually bought by people who intend to train them as fighting dogs right?

what the fuck LMFAO you watch too many movies
pitbulls are just like any other dog dude, they feel pain. "impervious to pain unlock" lmfao what is this call of duty.
I was going to say "Here come the "ALL PITBULLS ARE EVIL" people" but I am very late :(
It's the owners, not the dogs. There are cases where the animal is aggressive, though. A lot like kids, raise them like shit, they'll be shits. Raise them good, they'll be good. There are exceptions to the rule, though.
There's a dude aged 80(!) in my street who owns one, it's like a little lamb so friendly and huggable.
We have a Bull Terrier ourselfs as well, most friendly and cute thing ever.
It's always the owner, aggresiveness wont be passed through a dogs genes or race.

Nope, wrong bro.. they do feel the pain but they wont let ANYTHING stand in its way when its going.
The only time I heard mine squeel thusfar is when her tail got stuck between a drafty door :/
dumb owners get pitbulls and play up their danger factor because the dogs look mean and have muscular physiques.
its the same reason idiots mutilate their dogs floppy ears and dock the tails on dobermans.

Pretty sure the bull terrier is of little to no relation to the american pit bull. I could be wrong though.
the breed you are talking about is the bull terrier, pitbull terrier is the american pitbull. Which looks like this:

Ah yes, its the bull terrier, my mistake.
Those triangular heads are ugly as fuck. The pitbull is okay. Only the body looks a bit odd because of the bulkiness, but they still look a lot better than the bulls...
It's funny, the media seems to make big dogs seem like bloodthirsty monsters, but to me it's always been the larger a dog gets, the gentler and friendlier it gets, while little dogs are almost always annoying, loud cunts to everyone. I'd prefer a St. Bernard over a chihuahua any day.

I dunno, the glowing eyes don't exactly make for a flattering picture :v:
But I agree, I have a Chihuahua, and he's a sweet mostly well behaved thing. The worst he'll do is bark at strangers, but once he gets to know you, he's such a pushover.

My mother who's worked with animals for a long-ass time jokingly calls it little dog syndrome, but if you keep chihuahuas and whatnot with big dogs, they do seem to come out better from it, as in not being stupid little shits.

They are more aggressive as a breed - towards other dogs and certain animals.
But to suggest they are inherently man killer is silly, it goes directly against the traits that were literally purpose bred into the breed.
