It's all fun and games until someone hacks into your eye.

As small as it is, I bet it works better than a Mac.
I bet it's cheaper then a mac too.
My goodness, that's incredibly impressive. Just look at the size of it!
yeah baby
I was wondering this too actually
Think outside the box man! We need to develop the technology (we're getting really close to something useful) to translate electrical signals into electro-chemical signals which are interpretable by the brain. Just rig it along the optic nerve, and bam, presto, if you stick a transmitter on it, and put a camera on the back of your head, you can enjoy trinocular vision!
Don't you realize how helpful a rl healthbar would be?
I think it would be already at 50% and draining for most Facepunchers :v:
I think it would be already at 50% and draining for most Facepunchers :v:
People already have the equivalent of an RL health indicator. Pain.
Don't you realize how helpful a rl healthbar would be?
And how it would monitor your health? You can get many different injuries but they don't necessarily need to "lower" your health. You can also feel from where you are injured and how badly, so there's no need for numerical "health" crap on the HUD. Although I agree that a clock, heart rate monitor, GPS etc. would be useful.

It could warn people working in dangerous environment that their system is too tired to behave safely. It could warn people with feeble health. Chemical analysis of blood could precisely tell you how much of what should you eat for your system to work at peak efficiency, to the detail of specific vitamins, minerals. Dosing of medicine could be much more effective if the doses would be based on momentary information from the system and such... The possibilities are endless. Only basic diagnosis which could happen anytime in real time could be extremely useful, even for people who don't want to get out of their way to be healthy. [editline]23rd February 2011[/editline] Not to mention that the display could be used just for about fucking everything! Why use monitors and TVs if we could have a network of wireless relays to which you could connect and gain picture relayed through nerve directly to brain.
I want it inside me.
Imagine going up to someone. "There's a fucking computer inside my eye."
