Tetris is not even a good fucking game, what the hell do these idiots think?
Tetris is fun in it's simplicity. It's one of the most simple computer games ever made, really, and it has stolen a lot of young years from a lot of people. [editline]4th December 2011[/editline] Still people don't really seem to get that you're not forced to pay a monthly fee. Doesn't make it less of a dick move.
Re-imagined is fucking bullshit. You should not be given every combination like that.
It's not pay to play tetris, it's pay to subscribe to the awesome, edgy and pro-only T-Club! It gives you special discounts, special levels from the also totally MLG Origin-based service Tetris Log, and a booster to "boost" your Tetris rank! At $30/year, it's a steal!
I wonder why EA has been down the shitter lately BF3 was huge disappoint for me and now look at their money schemes
Battlefield 3 is a good game. Why was it a huge disappointment?
Haha what the fuck?
BF3 was huge disappoint for me and now look at their money schemes
BF3 was lame? mind elaborating? i have only played BC2 and BF3 and they are both a couple of the most fun shooters i have played.
Tetris is not a good game? Get out.
It's been done millions of fucking times, and it's not fun. Just saying.
Wait wait wait, the optional "premium" thing boosts your score/rank? Tetris with Pay to Win mechanics. I never thought I'd see the day.
they have some good series with them though. need for speed (the older game) MASS EFFECT battlefield dead space
yea thats the problem with them. You really can't boycott them since they publish over a third of all published games.
R.I.P
that shit doesn't even look like tetris. don't understand why anybody would want to play that other shit I just like simple original tetris. and they still charge to download the actual app fuck them
http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/02/ea-relaunches-tetris-on-ios-with-a-30-year-subscription-really/ Well I'm glad I already have the original version installed, not only did they make it horribly ugly but they also make you pay monthly for extras. Now to make sure I never update it.
Misleading title. Makes it sound like you have to pay monthly for the entire game. Admittedly, extras for Tetris should not cost money but the title is still very misleading.
I miss Tris. It was a simple version of tetris for iPhone/ Touch, controls worked fine and it had a very simple art style. Luckily, my first gen iPod still has it installed.
Jesus Christ, EA has hit a new freaking low. Who the fuck would pay monthly for tetris when there are hundreds of clones of it????????????
Breaking News: EA Games Produces a Tetris MMO For a Monthly Fee of 9.99 a Month. More at 6
2 pages with people ranting about a completely optional fee why is it hard to read 4 lines is beyond me you still get the standard mode when you pay .99 dollars
In news today, EA digs itself further down into the ground as a game company.
EA's getting more and more bourgois capitalist pig every day. At this rate BioWare might want to cut their losses and pull out before they get bound by a contract renewal.
Nah because they're getting the funding they deserve. If I was lead of a development studio, I'd work under Activision if they tossed a hundred million at one of my projects.
they have some good series with them though. need for speed (the older game) MASS EFFECT battlefield dead space
except they dont actually develop these games and they are still a shitty publisher
Or you could buy the official Tetris app for 1 dollar and have it forever. Even better get a decent Tetris clone for free.
Who gives a fuck. You don't have to pay the monthly fee. You can still play for free. Get the sticks out of your butts.
Introducing monthly fees on Tetris? What's next, monthly fees on Chess and Scrabble?
Who gives a fuck. You don't have to pay the monthly fee. You can still play for free. Get the sticks out of your butts.
It's one step forward for the publisher, you can be assured they'll do it again at a larger scale. The app still costs 1 fucking dollar and EA sues people who make tetris clones for free on the appstore. Half of the game isn't available without the monthly fee and I bet your ass you're getting assaulted with ads all over the place if you don't pay 3$ a month.
Misleading title. Makes it sound like you have to pay monthly for the entire game.
Thanks, I'm trying for a job at Fox News.
Their are not allowed to do this according to the Apple guidelines http://9to5mac.com/2011/11/23/apple-removes-monthly-subscription-game-from-the-app-store/
You know you're doing bad business when even Apple has a rule against it.
Apple users don't even know what money is, spend spend spend that's what they know :v:
Apple users don't even know what money is, spend spend spend that's what they know :v:
"Ha ha I don't like the products a company designs and sells, that makes all users of their products idiots who don't know how to spend their money."
Anyone who says that needs to look at Installous.
"Ha ha I don't like the products a company designs and sells, that makes all users of their products idiots who don't know how to spend their money."
Exactly poor people buy the iphone, they wont care if tetris is a buck or two a month.
Meanwhile, a free Tetris clone made by a college student gets pulled because of Copyright Infringement
Tetris is a registered trademark of The Tetris Company, LLC, which grants companies licenses to make their own Tetris game - EA has such a license, and if that college student did too, his clone wouldn't be pulled
