Obama you communist...
Uh, I don't know if I'm not catching the sarcasm or not, but you guys DO know Russia isn't a communism, right?
Yeah it's actually a country.
Giving your enemies information regarding your most important defense installations is a bit too close.
Uhhh.... but Russia is not our enemy? Didn't you guys hear? The Cold War is over.
This kind of mentality is why the Russians are wary of the missile defense system in the first place.
Or you don't build the unessential and expensive missile defence system and don't tell them Nuclear Secrets.

BloodYScar single-handedly caused the holocaust. All the Jews read his shitty retarded posts and immediately killed themselves. You heard it here first, folks.
I guess Obama's had it with a republican-held Congress messing with shit he's trying to get done.
So being frustrated justifies circumventing the law?
So Obama really was a Communist.
Oh shit.
So being frustrated justifies circumventing the law?
Uhm, fuck the law, its not only within his powers but the congress is just a fucking bunch of man-babies that shut down everything he tries to do. They havent helped at all by themselves either, having dedicated their time to pass the useless or stupid laws that benefit them.
I also doubt Obama is going to flat out give all the information about their missile defense and shit, Obama is not stupid.
Apparently the missile shield is the only thing stopping Russia from firing ICBMs at the US.
I love how when talking about some US military action, people on the internet rage about how the US only uses brute force, etc. Now that the government is using diplomacy, people are still raging.

Uh
Section 1227 of the defense law prohibits spending any funds that would be used to give Russian officials access to sensitive missile-defense technology, as part of a cooperation agreement without first sending Congress a report identifying the specific secrets, how they would be used and steps to protect the data from compromise.

fuck the law
If nobody follows the law, what's the point of a limited government? Or a government at all?
Oh, right. There isn't.
Oh man I remember back in '08 everyone was like "Man Obama is gonna get the country out of debt and everything!"
Now look what he's throughout his term, when he's done with the U.S we better hope we have change left in our pockets.

Oh ho ho that was some clever word play.
It almost covered the fact that a lot of the problems that the US has been facing have mostly been due to stubborn people not willing to compromise or things that are out of the President's control.

Nope.
Uh
Just to point out, this is not some formal agreement, he is not spending any money on it, and he said he will be informing Congress. Anything else?

I think what he is doing is called "diplomacy".

Sending classified date or documents must be done by formal agreement; you can't just decide to do it one day. There's a procedure behind it all.
And don't forget, securely sending classified data or documents costs money. If it's being sent physically, it's going to be protected. If it's being sent electronically, you're spending money on software to be protected.
i don't know if this is just a result of the american education system but you guys are aware the war with russia ended years ago, right?

I sincerely can't consider Russia to be a friendly power till they get their corruption under control and stop supplying people we dislike with military hardware.
I sincerely can't consider Russia to be a friendly power till they get their corruption under control and stop supplying people we dislike with military hardware.
Considering we have a fair bit of corruption ourselves and we supply people they don't like with military technology all the time as well.
at least the Krusty Krab's secret formula is save
And now think that this kind of stuff was impossible 20 years ago.

Man, I remember back when I thought the Cold War was a literal war like WW2 and was cold because it was in Russia
Are americans any different from bulls?

They care about motion don't they? So it would even be MORE accurate in that case.
USA: If it moves, shoot it.

That's some fancy maneuvering there Mr. Obama. It doesn't say anything about Congress having to approve of the actions, just that they require extremely detailed knowledge of the exchange.
Less capitalism is always good,right?
Russia has the potential to be an excellent ally though. If we can get over the cold war mentality and work closely with Russia, not only would they generally make a great ally, but the flow of Russian hardware into unfriendly nations might slow. Overall it makes strategic sense to be best buds with Russia.
Yeah, if Russia gets rid of the corrupt government (and doesn't get a worse one)...
[editline]6th January 2012[/editline]
hahahah
I don't see what's so funny.
It's true.
We are WAY more corrupt than Americans are.
(I'm Russian, the flagdog lies)
No it isn't. We are concerned about everyone BUT Russia. We spent half a century with missiles aimed at each other. Neither of us is stupid enough to go through with it.
This. It's like you guys completely forgot about the cold war in which we both had absolute potential to annihilate the other force, but we didn't do it. Both US and Soviet Union wanted the rank of the "most powerful country" at the time and in which caused them to constantly make bombs. None however were used against each other. They were afraid of each other, but had no intention of taking the opposing force out. Simply because it would've ended just as badly for the winner of that war, such as starting a World War 3.
Don't think that's going to change.
