Why do people still use an 8 year old OS anyway? Are they just afraid of progress?
Not good enough pc for newer os, no money/no need to upgrade.
No because I use a Pentium III.
Jesus dude.
Jesus dude.
Yeah really Pentium 4 is the future. Besides XP must be shit, huge vulnerabilities and it just came out?
When i saw this title, I don't do what is says. I press F1 :3: And nothing happened. [editline]11:58PM[/editline] So i am safe?
retarded last remark is retarded... XP IS from the 21st century.
Vista was too. And by god there are very many changes. Just because you can't see them doesn't me they don't exist.
it was bad for too long. it did get saved but it was too late, not even you can save it's broken reputation. and it's STILL a truck pull to run that thing. even win 7 is lighter than that. [editline]12:59AM[/editline]
When i saw this title, I don't do what is says. I press F1 :3: And nothing happened. [editline]11:58PM[/editline] So i am safe?
start up help, post screenshots.
start up help, post screenshots.
Of what?
When I read the title, I thought this would be a forced upgrade scheme whereby eventually every keystroke would cost you pennies or some shit.
everyone should update to windows 7 no exceptions computer sucks too hard? get a new one
alright, can I liberate $130 from your wallet?
After reading this I pressed F1 to see what it does..
Rate check if you also pressed F1 after reading this thread.
My avatar was my reaction at my F1 key
This is just one more reason to join the 21st century
Uh.. didn't XP come out in 2001?
watch MS deliberately devise viruses to make XP unusable so everyone has to go to 7
Uh.. didn't XP come out in 2001?
Yes. October 25th, 2001.
How is XP not the 21st century. XP was released in 2002, therefor its the 21st century. So fuck you microsoft, I joined the century.
How is XP not the 21st century. XP was released in 2002, therefor its the 21st century. So fuck you microsoft, I joined the century.
1. It was a joke, not meant to be completely factually accurate. 2. It was released in 2001. 3. 8 years is a LONG time when you're talking about PCs
who the fuck use the help crap? Did this help you? No Ok but did this help you? No Did this help you? No Sometimes you can even go in a circle just answering no.
Reminds me when Hillel Cooperman from Microsoft bashed the help system at PDC03.
watch MS deliberately devise viruses to make XP unusable so everyone has to go to 7
That would be nice
I use vista because i'm too damn poor to update.
Does anyone even use the f1 key for help anymore?
Windows Help and Support is one of the things i disable when I do a clean install, along with many other windows features that i just dont use. Like the Print Spooler. I don't use printers in my room, so why have it on?
XP has it's uses, for instance some of us have systems in our offices not used for gaming; or the computer in my kitchen that I use for getting recipes.
How's the compatibility? I game a LOT, and have a lot of programs I'm hoping to transfer over if I do switch my OS.
Great, unless the games are old 16-bit games. [editline]03:07AM[/editline]
xp is older than 70% of the users on here, just fucking upgrade
70% of our users are less than 9 years old?
That's why I disabled the Help and Support service.
XP is still the most stable system, until w7 gets to the level of being as stable and as compatible with everything that XP is I prob. won't upgrade. [editline]08:08PM[/editline]
Great, unless the games are old 16-bit games.
Shit, I love my old games a lot.
I can get Windows 7 for like $80 at my college bookstore. But I'm sticking with XP. :v: I like it.
xp is older than 70% of the users on here, just fucking upgrade
I hate all the compatibility errors with Windows 7
Great, unless the games are old 16-bit games. [editline]03:07AM[/editline] 70% of our users are less than 9 years old?
Would you be surprised if they were?
everyone should update to windows 7 no exceptions computer sucks too hard? get a new one
I'm waiting till XP get's so outdated that even virus makers drop there support for it. The only reason why I am not upgrading to Windows 7 is that it requires that you reboot your computer, I'm not doing that sh**. Rebootphobia :ohdear:
The only reason why I am not upgrading to Windows 7 is that it requires that you reboot your computer, I'm not doing that sh**. Rebootphobia :ohdear:
What are you talking about?
