GIVE FORESKIN NOW.
We shouldn't really be mutilating anybody's genitals in the 21st fucking century unless they're going to die/ live a seriously impaired life without it.
Just use a condom or dont stick your dick in some prostitute with her vagina looking like a goddamn clown car
According to the CDC, getting circumcised reduces the risk for men by 42%. http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/prevention/research/malecircumcision/ There was a study being conducted in Africa on the effects of circumcision for STD prevention, but it showed so clear results that the study was cancelled so that the control group also could get circumcised. The fact is, what reason is there not to be for voluntary male circumcision in high-risk nations?
If only there actually was a way to get sex...
I've heard that circumcision is really common in America, what's that all about. I don't think I know anyone whose been circumcised
You're welcome ladies.
I've heard that circumcision is really common in America, what's that all about. I don't think I know anyone whose been circumcised
Because secretly, jews run america
I've heard that circumcision is really common in America, what's that all about. I don't think I know anyone whose been circumcised
American here. A lot of people see it as "cleaner." And before people start replying to this, yes it's unfounded but it's just one of those things that people believe because with no information it does seem that being uncircumcised would be "dirtier."
Showering regularly keeps your dick clean as well
Honestly looking at uncircumcised penises makes me uncomfortable. They look like giant worms.
Looking at circumcised penises makes me uncomfortable. It's like seeing a person without eyebrows or whatever. Like: "you didn't have to remove that, why'd you go and do that?"
Bullshit. It's nonsense made up by procircumcision people as another point to support it. If that were true, female circumcision would be as common as male circumcision if not more, because keeping a vagina clean is a little more complicated than keeping a penis clean.

This doesn't make sense to me - HIV spreads through fluid transmission. Foreskin is not fluid.
Oh wow lol. @Furioso Yeah, keeping a vagina clean is a lot more complicated than keeping the membrane under the foreskin clean, which is why female circumcisions don't affect cleanliness. Female circumcision removes the clitoris and it's hood, and in some cases the inner labia (the lips). But the interior of the vagina itself, which is a rich environment for bacteria, is what affects cleanliness most of all, and circumcision will not make one bit of difference to change that. Men are obviously a lot more basic, and it actually does work for us. @Cabbage The membranes of the foreskin come into contact with the woman's vaginal mucus and fluids during sex, genius. HIV is transmitted by these vaginal fluids (also semen, blood, and milk FYI). Facepunch really doesn't know anything about sex. Goddamn.

If sanitation really that hard for you you should have it done. Of course anyone that has soap + water can't really bitch because it can't be hard at all to clean. How is it so hard to figure this out? You people are so up your own ass about this topic that you utterly dismiss the idea of anything being good about it. Of course yeah everything can be fixed by just... cleaning your dick, but if it's hard to get soap and water then it'd harder to clean it more often. If you're old enough to get it done and its your choice and you want it done, get it done.

not too long before tumblr starts demanding all men get circumcisions to stop oppressing women with stds
inb4 tumblr starts demanding all men get circumcisions to stop oppressing women with stds
I'll oppress tumblr if they do that with my MUTANT DICK
Has anyone mentioned the statistical chance of getting HIV after having unprotected sex with an infected?
The risk reduction is small, but it is a start
Uh not really? These people need to be educated, not get their dicks chopped.
Facepunch really doesn't know anything about sex. Goddamn.
This post manages to cram "I'm superior", "Facepunch hivemind", and "Facepunchers are virgins" into a single sentence, and is exactly the kind of crap I hate reading whenever threads about sexual subjects come up.

That just means I have different principles than you do.
If you're old enough to get it done and its your choice and you want it done, get it done.
I agree, but I'm still going to criticize it because unless phimosis or some other condition is involved, circumcision has no legitimate purpose in the modern world. Let's remove the toenails of newborn children, they don't have a use and only serve to give us fungal nail infections and ingrown toenails anyway.

Yeah, okay, perfect logic.
@Cabbage The membranes of the foreskin come into contact with the woman's vaginal mucus and fluids during sex, genius. HIV is transmitted by these vaginal fluids (also semen, blood, and milk FYI).
The head and shaft of the penis comes into contact with a woman's vagina. There's all kinds of precum involved. If someone is carrying an STD and you're having unprotected sex with them, chances are good for infection whether or not you're cut or uncut. Unless you're not actually implying that I'm saying that. people demonize it because it'd done by force. Obviously if either of these are not done by force, it's not really an issue. and you don't think there's anything good about cutting ANY part of a healthy body off? you mean... like the appendix? Molars? cutting Foreskin ends in 'less felling' but... not much else. Calling it a functional organ is silly. It has it's function but it's not an organ in the same sense as other organs.
Uh not really? These people need to be educated, not get their dicks chopped.
I agree that they need education, buy very many men are still not going to use protection. Furthermore, the risk reduction is much larger among men. Can I cite my own previous post?
According to the CDC, getting circumcised reduces the risk for men by 42%. i offer free circumcision at my clinic to all facepunch users
The keyword was healthy.
Then why even reply? the entire point I'm saying it "If you're nasty and have cheese in your dick, and want to cut it off, go ahead" that doesn't imply it's healthy.
If you're going to post the definition of fucking dick cheese as though that somehow validates your argument, you should expect an appropriate response.
I'm not going to continue replying to you you literally cannot fucking read at all. Your really up your own ass about how evil it is but I'm not saying its a good thing, I'm saying it's not a bad thing either. I don't see why you should give a shit about something they did consciously to their body. Sorry your parents cut your foreskin off but people can make a choice you know.
The biggest problem with circumcision is the fact that it is all very nice to give the individual the choice, but by the time they are old enough to make an informed decision about it, the operation will be much much more traumatic (and I'm talking about age 10-15 here, not even 18+ for any other informed consent). Plus the fact that it is usually social pressure that leads to families deciding to get their kids circumcised. It is a ritual and considered a part of being/becoming a man, not to mention the possible peer pressure/ridicule you might have to endure as the only one not circumcised. I'm circumcised and I was circumcised at a relatively older age (4 or 5 years old I think) and I can tell you that it was no fucking picnic. I cannot imagine what it would be like for a fully grown man to undergo such a procedure. That's why I just cannot with good conscience say families should wait for their kids to grow up and ask them about their opinions on that matter. If society or whatever forces them to get the operation, it is much better to get it over with when you are a couple of months old (or whatever) when you won't even remember anything.
Then why even reply? the entire point I'm saying it "If you're nasty and have cheese in your dick, and want to cut it off, go ahead" that doesn't imply it's healthy.
I'd criticize anybody who did it because of that. It's such a stupid reason for circumcision.
