can someone explain to me why the EU is unsustainable
There was that whole business with Greece a few years ago. Not sure if that is still financially relevant though.

Probably shouldn't have actually let them into the EU tbh, the Greek economy wasn't particularly strong when they applied if I recall.
seems like bannon is on the way out as the checks start flowing in. too bad he's doing his damndest to get le pen elected and cause the death of the EU
There was that whole business with Greece a few years ago. Not sure if that is still financially relevant though.
The EU didn't cause that, that was Greek politics and its politicians, the government of Greece failed to provide accurate economic statistics, failed to keep their accounts in check due to corruption, and had been in a major spending thrift right before the Great Recession, including what is probably their largest contributor which was the 2004 Summer Olympics. The only blame the EU has on that is that Greece, as part of the Eurozone, doesn't have direct control over its currency, and thus couldn't do what other countries do before plunging into recessions, which is just to print more money, devaluing the currency.
"unless the EU can pull itself together" lmao are you trolling at this point? The UK is the one that has to pull itself together leaving the EU, and the EU, even without the UK, is among the biggest trade blocs in the world. The UK is arguing from a much weaker position now that it wants to leave.
Boilrig's typical reaction to anything portraying the UK in a negative light is to angrily beat his chest and yell "ENGLAND STRONG!". He is quite possibly the most blindly nationalistic person on the entire site.

It's the eurozone they shouldn't have been allowed into. Especially because they lied to get in.

Though I'm not entirely sure in the end.

Although I'm not sure if the Greeks could've done it in a very smart fashion

The story about greece is a little complicated tho so I'd recommend googling it for more specifics about what exactly happened.

Greece didn't so much as lie, but instead just didn't tell the entirety of the truth.
