It seems to me that Samy has a lot of money from his previous work. According to the show, if I remember correctly, it cost him a half a million dollars to open the restaurant shortly after they got married. It's a pretty damn good looking restaurant too.
I'm just taking a guess that he's absolutely loaded and they are breaking even with their profits. It could explain how they're still in business.

I hate how she is like "For all you NON HATERS come and have some YUMMY!!!! cake baked by AMY!!!" and it's just a stock photo, on nearly ALL the pictures she's posted somebody has posted a link to the website she stole it from, and even reported her for using peoples photos without permission

Her husband claimed that hackers stole the stock photo from her and put it all over the internet.

Maybe false advertisement, but that doesn't mean much to most restaurants.
it's like if tony montana was fat, old, italian and really liked food.
although this only barely applies in this situation due to other elements causing them to be a horrible restaurant, but something I've noticed is that when someone cares too much about their appearance they will not be good at what they do.

I don't even see why they were putting up such a big fuss. Didnt Gordon even say that her cakes were delicious in the beginning of the show? It's just the fact that their other food is disgusting they couldn't seem to handle.

The AMA seemed to show that most of the bias comes from costumers being drawn in by the cameras.
Other than that, it was usually pretty quiet, and Samy melted down when customers (wanting to be on camera) started challenging him, and Amy melted down when Ramsay didn't side with her.
I think they may have been hacked because if you look at the description on this photo they uploaded on their page, it would suggested they were in fact hacked. And they uploaded that photo on January 4, 2011, so it isn't like someone recently added it.
