Well, I have BF3 and PvZ, I still don't accept any Mass Effect except the first one as canon, I never got into Dead Space, Need for Speed got silly rubber-band AI, so I'm left with Warfighter for the shits and the giggles, or Sim City 4 for an actual okay game.
I already own everything aside from MoH, Bejeweled, ME3 and NFS:MW, and I have no interest in Bejeweled and agree with your sentiments on Mass Effect, and MoH is just another CoD clone, so NFS:MW it is I guess.
I have BF3 and Dead Space 3. So my options are
Mass Effect 3
Need for Speed
Medal of Honor: Warfighter
Which one is the best?
If you've played the first two Mass Effects, go for ME3, if not, I'd say Need For Speed.

Me3. : really fun game . Ending sucked
Burnout: I liked it though it isn't anything special
Moh: lol

Go with ME3, the ending sucks but it's way better than the other two options.
So this is their plan, release a game that everyone bends down to buy then fuck them in the ass. When everyone realizes it's shit (surprise), offer a few free mediocre games and suddenly EA isn't that bad.
what the fuck, this shit screamer'd me
jesus fuck my heart
EDIT
it was a second tab, really fucked me up :v:
I think EA is being more than generous by giving you a nice choice of AAA games to pick. Of course they aren't going to give you battlefield 3 premium or the deluxe editions of the game, this is just a compensation for your launch troubles.
Yes but DICE are treating the game like a damn F2P game that you pay for. Premium only servers, premium exclusive queues so they get in faster than me and premium double xp weekends almost every damn weekend.
To play devil's advocate, couldn't that be interpreted as offering the customer better value for their money? The expansions are all well and good, but getting more stuff on top of that is a nice bonus.
I love how every EA problem can be quickly pacified with a free game.
I love how every EA problem can be quickly pacified with a free game.
Don't worry, this'll happen again and EA gets sued up the asses
Simcity 4 looks like a nice deal, basically a working version of the new one. Am I right?
It's hilarious that they threw in Sim City 4.
We botched the new Sim City, most of you couldn't play it, the AI and path finding is terrible, we lied about how it always had to be connected which means we basically greifed you and for $60. No you can't have that back, by the way, but we'll offer our older Sim City game that's fun and works if you'd like
Especially considering the fact that AI pathfinding is the same in SimCity 4 as it is in the new SimCity game (Sims look for the shortest commute even if that means driving on congested roads). Big difference though is that SC4 has mods to fix that (NAM).
lol @ standard edition only
They're giving you a game that, I believe, is the exact same price as Sim City, for free, and you're crying about that? Come on!
"Here, have a list of the games we were going to throw away anyway. Just so you can have the possibility of buying DLC's for them!"
Yes but DICE are treating the game like a damn F2P game that you pay for. Premium only servers, premium exclusive queues so they get in faster than me and premium double xp weekends almost every damn weekend.
I didn't get Premium until Febuary and had absolutely no problems playing the game. Don't want people to jump ahead of you in queue? Don't join full servers. Double XP weekends? Whatever, I have everything unlocked already.
I got Premium when I was bored of BF3's base content but wanted to play the game with new stuff and for $40 I think I got a decent deal. If it was called a season pass no one would care.
-Battlefield 3 Basic. That's great, but Premium is 50 bucks, so you still have to buy $50 worth of DLC to get the full experience.
Bullshit. You can still find quite a few vanilla servers just fine. And premium is just a GOTY edition addon.
Plus it's, you know, optional. You can still play vanilla servers (which there are quite a few still because the best maps are vanilla) without it.
People are just fine with GOTY editions, but when they make it available to purchase as an addon to your game it's suddenly a bad thing?
Hell, if you don't have BF3 you can just pick up premium edition for 60 that comes with the game and the premium pack. Or if you wait for one of it's almost constant sales you can get it for 35.
It's not like they cut the content from the main game and sold it a week later. Theyve been posting DLC packs for over a year. While free content updates are cool and all, they are a priviledge, not a right. You can't honestly expect a game company, especially EA to release map packs that usually come with new everything free for over a year right?
So this whole "you actually have to pay 100 for the full experience" is bullshit. You pay for battlefield 3 you get battlefield 3. If you want the twenty new maps and extra weapons than that's up to you.
You come off as really entitled when you act like that.
I can now honestly say, without any sarcasm, that I will never buy another EA game again or until the publisher stops forcing all the developers to change their games for EA benefit. I mean, here's the list of games they are offering, but also what they are REALLY offering.
-Battlefield 3 Basic. That's great, but Premium is 50 bucks, so you still have to buy $50 worth of DLC to get the full experience.
-Bejeweled is a game you can play on a flash website, and it's like 5 bucks, great offer!
-Dead Space 3 is the worst of the franchise due to EA direction, and is now full of micro transactions and nothing scary. They made a horror show out of a great horror game.
-Mass Effect 3 tells you how many options for an ending you get, red, blue, or green. 0% effort for the last game and they knew it would sell because, hey, it's the last one!
-MOH Warfighter, it's just bad don't get it.
-NFSMW is the same NFS game they made the last 6 times, with bad catch-up "AI" and suicide cops.
-Plants VS Zombies is a good game, but get it in a steam sale for 2-5 bucks.
-Sim City 4 is the only one worth getting since it's better than Sim City anyway.
What I have learned from EA, or at least in regards to their marketing strategy is that you make a quality game, then dial it down over the sequels and add more DLC and DRM. Make one good game that grows and develops a community, make a sequel really quick to get everyone excited to get it. Draw more people in by simplifying gameplay more or just dumbing it down, and then after that DLC has been dried up in sales, you release the final game with even more dlc. And if someone doesn't like their games, and they let EA know, EA responds by banning their games account in full.
But if they remove DRM then they remove control of their rental system! Because all you do is rent your games since you can't play them by yourself, EA needs to be there too!

Looks like a massive bitching festival in my post, but I'm just being honest and saying what everyone is probably thinking.
I am glad someone said it. I agree with this post. I love the Battlefield series, I own every Battlefield game that was ever made, but there is so much extra shit with BF3 that the standard edition isn't worth it. You can just go buy their deluxe edition that comes with it all.
The other games are all games that people bitched about when they came out except for Bejewelled and PvZ... Which honestly I don't want either one.
-snip-
Because even when they are giving away free shit, EA is still Hitler.
[editline]18th March 2013[/editline]
Also PvZ is fun.
Hitler giving free shit was still Hitler, no?

Hmm, can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.
People will always find a way to stay angry. I.E. Banned User
Mass Effect 3 is awesome, but don't go for the standard edition. Get the N7 Digital Deluxe when ever it's on sale on top of the Standard Edition (as all games just had a 15 dollar sale why did you miss that) because you get stuff you need (Javik in From Ashes DLC).
Citadel DLC was amazing. ME3 is great. The endings are a let down, but really, are you judging a game because of an ending? I
The endings are a let down, but really, are you judging a game because of an ending?
In essence, yes.
Wow... what a list. 8 games, all bar one of which are more than a year old, and the one game that is new has micro transactions in it. That's appalling. If this is meant as an apology you guys just keep going from bad to worse.
Whoever is responsible for this needs to explain why there is such a short and terrible list!
i'm totally ok with ea now :-)
Already have BF3 and SimCity 4, wasn't very interested in Mass Effect or Dead Space so I just got Most Wanted again but obviously for PC this time.
Wish I could gift the free game to my mate, I've already got all the games...
Pretty cool to see DS3 on there considering the price hasn't even dropped yet.
And contrary to popular belief, its still a solid game, if not up to snuff with the other two.
Kudoes to them for doing something about it.
Though im going to stick with my policy of not buying EA games, simply because this shit isnt sustainable.
