Amazing! Great news. Finally the US did something right
we're not that bad jeez
I dunno man, I've had a toooooon of negative experiences and the response people always seem to give me is "If you don't like it here then leave" as if it was that easy. I see this as a huge step in civil rights in a country that has been historically resistant to change.
This is really exciting, I'm very happy about this
So ur tellin me I got to get GAY MARRIED now?... Thanks Barry Obobject for ruining this free land.........
YAY!
we're not that bad jeez
There are some issues, but at least one is taken off the list.
It looks like he's trying to make a point that's not utterly moronic ("The government cannot bestow dignity, and it cannot take it away.") but he made it in the most moronic way imaginable.
It's absolute nonsense, since rights in the past had to be granted by the supreme court.
Oh geese. Now I see a bunch of "Be together, but don't call it a a marriage. You can't change the definition of a word" comments Some people are just fucking pathetic
Did they even think of the children? How will these children cope growing up in a world of acceptance and equality.
That was a nice speech!
Oh geese. Now I see a bunch of "Be together, but don't call it a a marriage. You can't change the definition of a word" comments Some people are just fucking pathetic
The way I see it there are two sane ways of doing things: let everyone marry legally or keep the government out of marriage altogether. Saying "I've got my marriage but you can be happy without it," is fucking stupid. [editline]26th June 2015[/editline]
good sentiment behind this post but you just called all unmarried mothers sluts
I legit can't tell if this is a joke
Finally, gays can be just as happy and as miserable as the rest of us!
good sentiment behind this post but you just called all unmarried mothers sluts
We're all gay sluts in obama's america
Just like that? This is not only a new step for America but for the future.
Saw this on my timeline [t]http://i.imgur.com/Rwf1nNH.png[/t] Very good point imo. I'm on board!
fuck I checked my FB, it feels like people in Louisiana and Mississippi are ready to fucking blow shit up. I wanna go back home to Miami please save me.
About time. Sad it took this long. Congratulations future married couples.
As a republican I'd hate to see elected/candidates republicans keep fighting this. It's over move on. Stop digging a deeper hole.
shit I'm really disappointed in the lack of hate on my fb feed. I want to see their tears! :v:
Republican 2016 candidates have responded, Mike Huckabee seems the maddest:
I WILL NOT ACQUIESCE TO AN IMPERIAL COURT ANY MORE THAN OUR FOUNDERS ACQUIESCED TO AN IMPERIAL BRITISH MONARCH. WE MUST RESIST AND REJECT JUDICIAL TYRANNY, NOT RETREAT.
While Jeb Bush is among the most restrained:
Guided by my faith, I believe in traditional marriage. I believe the Supreme Court should have allowed the states to make this decision. I also believe that we should love our neighbor and respect others, including those making lifetime commitments. In a country as diverse as ours, good people who have opposing views should be able to live side by side. It is now crucial that as a country we protect religious freedom and the right of conscience and also not discriminate.
This is amazing!
The thing that boggles my mind is how giving someone the right to marry is considered tyrannical, it doesn't make any sense at all.
shit I'm really disappointed in the lack of hate on my fb feed. I want to see their tears! :v:
I think this guy is angry? I really don't know. [t]http://i.imgur.com/149buwD.png[/t]

What a President he'd make.

This is the same dullard who wanted to change the Constitution to make it more in-line with the Bible. "Reinterpretation of the constitution is evil when I don't like it!"

I don't know how people can get off saying anything about religious liberty. Gay marriage affects you and your church literally zero. Churches are not being forced to marry homosexuals. Pushing your religion as if it should be the law of the land is religious tyranny. You are a terrible person to do so.
Some people are still pushing the "gay marriage is going to threaten traditional marriage" bullshit? Really? Can you remember the last time when a homosexual mob with pitchforks and torches in their hands was chasing after a hetersexual couple?
I'm really fucking happy. LGBT has always been something I've supported 110%.. When I told my dad, he said he didn't quite care for it and just whatever, but he was shocked when I told him I supported it all these years.
did he just compare gay marriage to imperialism
worse he compared the supreme court to a monarchy
