"I am pro traditional marriage so that means that no one can have a non-traditional marriage" pricks
Two things need to happen: 1. Republicans need to stop fixating on gay marriage and just let it happen. 2. Gay people need to work on their PR a little more. It doesn't make straight people exactly comfortable when they see gay pride parades that look like Ke$ha threw up nyan cat after a drunken misadventure.

You don't gain respect and tolerance by living out the stereotypes.
So agree on no2. You don't gain respect and tolerance by living out the stereotypes.
So this means that it's okay to hate on republicans because they live out the stereotype of being heartless god fearing bastards who would gladly murder a thousand muslim children for a 1% taxbreak? (Hint: If you say yes, you're insane. If you say no, you should re-think your earlier statement).

Because millions of people with a trait is really a group.
Ah yes, invisible hand of the free market and all that. Competition between the privatized schools and the privatized hospitals will create the best economic situation right now, won't it?
Well actually, it usually does. [editline]26th November 2011[/editline]
So agree on no2. You don't gain respect and tolerance by living out the stereotypes.
Exactly. I think the civil rights movement would have been a hell of a lot less effective if it were made up of black guys wearing bandanas, sagging their pants, eating KFC and committing crimes. Living out stereotypes only perpetuates them.
Yknow, pride parades are 'in your face' for a reason, so it catches your eye. And not everyone goes around basically naked at pride parades, most people actually just walk around in their normal clothing.

The fact the gay marriage issue could hurt the Republican Party makes me feel good. It might mean the Republican Party is going to evolve and change, and quite possible become more moderate.

Capitalism produces the most wealth by far out of all economic systems. 2. I don't believe in them. I'm just stating what some people (especially on the internet) consider the stereotypical black person.
