What they don't realise is that when you mix two fairly unique gene pools together you destroy both and create a new race, you don't just phase out the white race. All race is, is the average rate of specific alleles in a population compared to another population, white is not a race and it's possible to be white and still be many different races genetically.
I think it might be a response to those kinds of people who try to redefine words like racism to mean prejudice + power so only white people can be racist etc. Honestly I agree with them in this instance, I am white and I am hardly in a position of power, and the idea that someone could invalidate everything I do and say because they can point to my skin colour, that bothers me. The idea that it's not opposed institutionally even more so, but I cannot comment on that because I have seen neither statistics nor enough of it myself to know whether it is even a thing, only heard stories.

You can't destroy and create 'races'.
They're socio-political constructs based upon early anthropology. We don't categorise geckos into races based upon the variety skin colour genes that they posses, because there was no socio-political context to do so.

If you identify the rate of alleles that are present in a specific population, and that are not present in another population of which you are comparing the first population to, you will find that you can identify race, and that doing it by genetics we can achieve a more accurate result than judging by skin colour and other obvious phenotypes. Now you might say, to what end, what do we do with that? Knowing itself is all I care about, I don't believe that anyone deserves unequal rights just because they fall into a specific category that we have created based on observations we have made, but nor do I want to ignore that race is a thing, it's just not skin colour.
