There are more whites graduating from College at the moment I believe, I'll have to look it up and if that is incorrect than I apologize, but it makes sense that they have the higher number of scholarships at the moment. Just because they are white doesn't mean they are in need of scholarships or somehow have it easier.
However, that article claims that blacks do indeed receive awards from non-racial scholarships. However, that is the problem. A black male or female can get regular scholarships and black only scholarships. Whites can only get regular scholarships.
If someone was to come up with a white only scholarship they would be cast as a racist, hateful individual.

that's what happens when people hear about the concept of privilege once or twice, agree with it, but don't bother exploring it further and understanding concepts like intersectionality
the flipside of this is people who refuse to understand that yes, white skin is going to be easier for you than black skin in the vast majority of cases where your skin is seen

I swear I saw a study a while ago that compared how people got hired on resume's alone, and if the name had anything to do with it, and having a "whiter" name just be default meant you had a higher chance of getting hired.

i don't deny that institutionalized racism still exists today but i just don't like feeling that i'm being lumped in with other groups and being targeted just because of my skin colour

no one is saying being white is necessarily easy. life sucks for everyone, but if a person of colour were in your position, their life would be a lot harder simply because they're not white.
