Of course an autistic child is a nuisance, I don't really see why the woman is a terrible person for being pissed off, just because the kid is autistic doesn't take away the woman's ability/right/justification for being pissed.
you for real mate
No, but if your kid is going to make loud sounds, and he cannot help it, and you cannot stop him, then the least you could do is mitigate them via a sound proofing agent.
In the letter she talks about him being outside when he makes these "noises". Should the child just never see the light of day just because this bitch gets a bad temper whenever she hear's "wild animal kid" noises?
Maybe the family of the autistic kid should invest more in sound proofing, thus people would be less inclined to be pissed off?
Obviously people shouldn't be allowed to get pissed off because the kid is unhappy!

She has a right to be pissed off but her taking it to the extent of prejudice against autistic people is pretty fucked up. A normal, nice person would either find a way to ignore it or personally go to the house and try to find a solution politely.
you for real mate
The alternative is that she should NOT be allowed to be pissed off/annoyed, is that for real?
someone take away her ! key, shes gonna use up all the worlds supply
Obviously people shouldn't be allowed to get pissed off because the kid is unhappy!
There's no law against making noises in your own yard as long as you're under the decibel limit laid out in town bylaws
The type of noises doesn't matter

Absolutely right about that, but I can imagine she is pretty peeved, I don't think we should judge how angry she is if we don't understand what she faced
The alternative is that she should NOT be allowed to be pissed off/annoyed, is that for real?
You think it's okay that someone is told to either leave or murder their child in an angry letter?
And here. We. Go.
You can add egg crate foam to the walls, which absorbs a significant amount of sound. If their living in apartments then, while they can't control it, even the kindest person on earth wouldn't be able to avoid getting pissed about it, especially if it happened extremely frequently, don't get me wrong, i'm not advocating for this cunt and her foolish message, but I am saying that I can see where she's coming from.
Yes and ripping up walls to put in egg crate foam isn't expensive if you disregard both the material costs and the man hours required to "sound proof" an entire house.
I would probably go over to the house and try to find some kind of way to politely ask them to reduce the noise.
But there's no self-righteous moral outrage in that. She has to be a Concerned Citizen™.
I think its more of the way she wrote that letter.
It would probably be better if she relaxed a bit and toned down on her language. When you start calling people's children wild animals and pointing out how abnormal they are it sorta moves into cunt territory.
Yeah, you're right. She went about it the wrong way, I don't think anyone should ever be blamed for being upset about something like this, but indeed, as you said, she was ridiculously rude and said some fucked up things.
Of course an autistic child is a nuisance, I don't really see why the woman is a terrible person for being pissed off, just because the kid is autistic doesn't take away the woman's ability/right/justification for being pissed.
Talk about justification for being pissed off all you want, writing a letter to a mother telling her to euthanize her own child is bad form in every way you look at it.
Sure, she has a right to be pissed off. She doesn't have a right to harass the parents. That's why she's a horrible person.

I was more saying that the basic issue she's raising was reasonable, I don't agree that the way she went about it was fine at all, but then again, who knows why she's so pissed off? I presume she has a reason, or she's a monster.
she's fair enough in saying that loud yelling noises in a neighborhood probably isn't the best but holy fucking shit is she terrible at putting that into words. everything else she said was totally inappropriate, but it's sort of easy to see where she's coming from.
remember, you don't have to agree with her to understand her point. understanding =/= agreeing

Holy shit people have ~opinions~!
Who'da thought?
Wow!!!!!!! What a pleasantly written letter!!!!
I mean, seriously lady, do you think those exclamation marks or captial letters are gonna make you seem any smarter or any more important?

Her reason is a subjective opinion that a noise the kid makes is "dreadful"
That's not a good reason at all
she is a proper cheeky cunt

she's calling for euthanasia because she can't bear hearing noise
come on
Her reason is a subjective opinion that a noise the kid makes is "dreadful"

I'd love for you to find me a sound described as "wailing" that isn't annoying or, as she said, "dreadful".

Are you acting purposely ignorant? Do you seriously not understand why she would be upset about an autistic child screaming incessantly? I know it's sad, and unfortunate, but the reality is that that child IS a nuisance, and I think her complaints are completely justified, HOWEVER the way she went about them is unjustifiable, she should had contacted the parent with more tact (that would've helped her get her way easier anyway).

I'm sorry but that isn't a very good "opinion" and that isn't his point at all.
If you go out of your way to badly write a letter that tells a woman to euthanize her son then you have issues.
Lambda over there defended a dude masturbating in a kitchen so I don't take him seriously anymore.
I'd love for you to find me a sound described as "wailing" that isn't annoying or, as she said, "dreadful".
-snip- I think I misunderstood your point so I'm editing this. Sorry if I sounded like a dick.

Lots of noises that happen outside are annoying to me but I don't turn into hitler over them
The worst noise ever is the bass from music being played inside a car, but I don't advocate euthanization when I hear it

No one (and not me) is justifying her letter. Sorry for disagreeing with you on another topic, but it's honestly ridiculous that you would "not take him seriously anymore" because I disagreed with you.

Wow you are extrapolating bullshit from subjective terms!
The terms they described the noise the child was making could be anywhere from a loud whisper to your "incessant screaming".
