... There's a type of water plant(I can't remember the name of it which makes it even harder to search for) that grows like wild fire. Several inches a day of growth, easily able to jump from area to area, able to adapt and beat anything in it's environment. Makes the lakes utterly disgusting and near impossible to swim or boat in.
Sounds like what we've got in our pool (Filter broke years ago and we didn't have the money to fix it), it covers the entire surface and grows to a couple of centimetres of thickness (Like a very thick waterlogged rug, I tried getting rid of it a few weeks ago and gave up), and grows fast enough to cover the entire surface in a couple of days.
Hydrochloric acid makes good pest control regarding plants If it don't work, use in combination with fire and other insanely corrosive and life-incompatible chemicals for that extra extermination
Uncle taught me how to kill invasive species: Squire bottle + gasoline and diesel
Writing this down for "how to fuck with my neighbors"
enjoy having a worthless house and getting sued for the value of everybody's property if you are caught and also getting sent to jail [editline]3rd April 2014[/editline]
Ya know this begs the question... What if we got every single horrible weed on the planet put them in a sealed off area to fight to the death? I mean why not? I'd make for one heck of an experiment.
well every plant is invasive outside of a habitat it has preditors in.
So what if someone just dropped a bunch of Knotweed and Goathead seeds throughout alleyways and parks in a city. Are they literally bad enough that they'd to any real damage?
If they could somehow cross-breed, then that's all the proof you need that there is no God.
So what if someone just dropped a bunch of Knotweed and Goathead seeds throughout alleyways and parks in a city. Are they literally bad enough that they'd to any real damage?
Worse than Hitler
Looks pretty though.
It really is pretty, but then you realize all of the negative effects it has. Not only is it invasive and dangerous for native flora; it's extremely reliant. I wouldn't consider it all that bad if it weren't for the fact that it cannot be easily removed.
Just found out from my dad who works in the council that if you have japanese Knotweed and let it grow out of control or spread it you can be fined upto £7000

Nasty fuckers are being planted everywhere and it makes this place hell for people who suffer from allergies, and it too is an invasive plant. [editline]6th April 2014[/editline]
One time my friends and I were walking to a petrol station to get some drinks (his fridge was broken or something) and there wasn't really a pavement there, so we just walked by the side of the road. My shoes were full of the spikes, some of them even went through my shoes and poked my feet. By the time we got there, my shoes were ruined so I took them off. And then I stepped on one. It hurt a bit, my foot was bleeding. These things are from hell.
I just want to clarify this: You just had your SHOES EVISCERATED by the things, and you thought it was a good idea to TAKE THEM OFF? Plus goat-heads aren't really damaging (though they do grow and spread a fair bit for what they are) so much as you begin contemplating how a kind and merciful God could possibly create such a horrid thing as this the moment you step on one bare-foot.
