And people support animals over humans because they can't speak out against injustice like this or protest like people can, they're forced into it for 'entertainment', plus they killed this bull anyway, they sent in another matador straight away. And no it's not really a competition because it's so unfair on the bull, the stewards distract the bull and the matador runs in and stabs it with the skewers and then runs out of the ring only to return again with more skewers to pain it further. I don't even get how it's entertainment, it's pathetic, the guy isn't exactly taking on the bull and this just goes to show that if they really did then the bull would win

This wasn't at all a case of someone who was innocent picking fucking daisies in a field and out comes a bull who gouges his eye maliciously. Whilst I agree that people shouldn't be delighting in what happened to him, he was [i]killing[/i] the animal. Brutally and slowly. He was doing far worse to the bull than what the bull did to him (and the bull did it in self-defence, unlike him). What he did was animal abuse, and the animal tried to fight back. That people acknowledge that doesn't mean we value an animal's life over a human's life. Moreover, you have to remember that this guy has killed tens, maybe even hundreds of bulls exactly this way over his lifetime. I'd say what I feel like saying to Rubberfruit or Stormcharger, but I'd probably get banned for it. So, I'll go on a mini-rant instead. First off, nit picking: humans ARE animals. Just the most advanced species, by the looks of it. And then, you two almost seem saying that humans are just flat out more valuable than any other species, just because. Personal value in a life/death situation? Of course, we're going to try and make sure that [I]we[/I] survive over anyone else. Self preservation. That includes against a human or otherwise. Is bullfighting flat out wrong? Of course it is. Do I feel sorry for this guy? Of course I do. Do I think he had it coming? Absolutely.
