India? Ireland? Hong Kong? The British treat their territories like shit.
You're a fucking tool.
India, Ireland and Hong Kong aren't even British territories.
Tool.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_overseas_territories
You're apparently blind too. Look on the map in that article; India, Ireland Hong Kong aren't highlighted. Hong Kong was handed back to China. Ireland and India were both given independence.
Christ you're dense.

"The UK has always maintained a very democratic and diplomatic approach to its territories - hence the devolved parliaments and the fact that it has already given Gibraltar the option to secede to Spain."
your quote.

Congratulations, you posted a link.
I'll take a stab at what you are trying to get across (as you are apparently too lazy/simple to actually type it out): you are, I'm assuming, saying that the aforementioned territories were part of the British Empire. Correct, you win a cookie. But that was a long time ago - in the past. I am not talking about the past treatment of territories, I am talking about the present treatment of territories. Go back and ready my posts and you might realise this.

How generous of the British to GIVE us our independence. It's not like we had a bloody war for it or anything.

The current situation is a direct result of the past occupations you dolt.

I didn't say that btw, that was you.

I know that, and that is exactly my point. In the past we may have treated our territories like shit, but presently we handle them very well.
You said "always"
You said "always"
I did notice that in my last post actually. I admit that was a slip of the tongue, so to speak. "Currently" should have been used.
So your little crying outburst of "no ur stupid!" was wrong.
Uhhhh. Didnt northern ireland actually back out of the irish independance so it would be a part of the UK? Because all of the various counties that formed independent ireland has the ability to back out. the 12 or 11 northern counties decided to join the UK instead. Jesus IRA lrn2history

In the 1920s they had a long debate on where the border would lie. The Irishman wanted the whole Island to be Irish, the Northen Irishman wanted all of Ulster to be in Britain, and the Englishman wanted compromise, it was mostly fair. In the end they decided that Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Derry, and Tyrone would be Northern Ireland and Cavan, Donegal and Monaghan would remain in the Republic (as they had a Nationalist majority, where the rest had a Unionist majority).
[editline]09:21PM[/editline]
Also there's 9 counties in Ulster, 6 of which are in Northern Ireland.
[editline]09:22PM[/editline]
The whole thing is meaningless really, considering Irish, Northern Irish and British citizens all hold equal (citizen) rights in all territories.
excuse me this didn't happen because of the british

During the Famine, Ireland's population fell by between 20 and 25 percent.[3] Approximately one million people died and a million more emigrated from Ireland.[4] The proximate cause of famine was a potato disease commonly known as potato blight.[5] Although blight ravaged potato crops throughout Europe during the 1840s, the impact and human cost in Ireland—where a third of the population was entirely dependent on the potato for food—was exacerbated by a host of political, social and economic factors which remain the subject of historical debate.
Yes. NOTHING to do with it.
Also, I'm not saying it was ALL the British's fault, but you didn't help. Like, at all.

I meant that the brits didn't start it :v:
Pretty sure it was the water mold that caused it.
Guy's if you are going to debate. Do it civilized. No need to be hostile, we already have enough gobshites doing that.
So your little crying outburst of "no ur stupid!" was wrong.
No. The general point I was making was right, I just made a mistake when typing it. You're the one who decided to start crying about it.

There is a HUGE fucking difference between "always" and "recently"

Fuck the IRA.

The way that post read, it sounded like some Brit scientists decided one day to invent the famine.
Don't understand the IRA. As long as the Northern Irish want to be part of the UK, I don't see where the argument is.
I have no problem with you Brits now, but you guys treated us like absolute shit in the past.
uh, no, you worded it in a way that COMPLETELY changed your argument.
