But wait. There's no mention of the Combine.
"If I swim in the ocean and don't see any fish, there are no fish in the ocean." Brilliant logic.
If you've seen any footage and/or pictures from the last 5 months instead of looking a shots from 2 years ago, you'd know that the game doesn't look like that at all. The colors have been toned down immensely and there's a lot of gore (example: Zealot slicing a marine in half) Only picture I have at the moment, doesn't show off that much but it still shows that its a lot better than the screenshot you used. My only problem with the game is that it doesn't support Anti-aliasing (but that might be added in later)
I prefered the old colors.

That's like saying that static noise on a TV is a good example of how random level generation doesn't look good *ahem* [editline]11:31AM[/editline] Though my bad before, I said they made their games colourful. They didn't make their games colourful, they made them cartoony (it's not the colours, it's the shapes).
That's like saying that static noise on a TV is a good example of how random level generation doesn't look good *ahem*
That's a horrible comparison. And truly random level generation is bad. However, procedural level generation is extremely good if done right.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kzvv__4fuio 12 minutes in, Terrans could have easily crushed the Zerg. It's not just about spamming units.
Sure micro and tactics factor into it but if you're behind in your macro game you're not going to win
Sequel to the most competitive RTS in the world. From blizzard. A brilliant game developer. ( the best in my opinion )
Warcraft 3 is better.
Warcraft 3 is better.
Not more competitive, though.
Whoah why is everyone saying stuff about midnight? I am confused about the release date now, is it today's midnight or is it the 27th?
Whoah why is everyone saying stuff about midnight? I am confused about the release date now, is it today's midnight or is it the 27th?
the 27th at midnight which is when I will be getting it
It'll be a long while till Multiplayer is cracked. That's for sure.
the 27th at midnight which is when I will be getting it
Ah. Thank you for clearing that up
Hi guys.
How about you come back when you have some actual in-game footage, an install screen doesn't say much
How about you come back when you have some actual in-game footage, an install screen doesn't say much
Where in the picture does it say that Starcraft 2 is installed? All I managed to do was bypass the date check. If anyone knows how to get the MPQE installer UI 2 open send me a message. Doesn't open even with the installer.
Hey my computer illiterate friend on AIM just told me you have to buy campaigns for each class seperatly?
The singleplayer campaign will just be the Terran part of the conflict. Each Race will have an expansion for it for its campaign. The expansions will probably add more than an extra campaign, think Brood War.
I'm actually more interested in the Galaxy Editor than the game itself.
Yeah, I only got it for the custom maps pretty much. I mean I'll play the regular game still, but I'm very interested in playing some user created content.
I'm most interested in the singleplayer custom campaigns. And the co-op ones!
Hi guys.
Heavy sez: Tiny babeh resolution
Haters gon' Hate me cause i have a beta key and so i have been playing it all along
I bought this from game stop a few months back so I could get my brother in the beta,( I was already in it) I kinda screwed up though and didn't do same day shipping. So now both the copy's I ordered will be here like 2 days after the release. :gonk:
I think I just made a slight break through with the installer. There's actually two installers, one is inside the installer UI 2 and actually does the installing which is why my bypass didn't work.
I think I just made a slight break through with the installer. There's actually two installers, one is inside the installer UI 2 and actually does the installing which is why my bypass didn't work.
different entry point to confuse noob reverse engineers
I really suck at playing Stacraft and Starcraft 2's multiplayer. So I'll be buying this for the singleplayer.
I think Starcraft 1 is better.
Starcraft 2 is more fun though.
I think Starcraft 1 is better.
Starcraft 2 isn't even released yet nor does it have over 10 years worth of patches to fix bugs and balance the game behind it.
The good? no-where to be seen. the bad? no firebats or vultures, instead of the ability to clearly see who is fighting and on what side, a mindless cluster of Uwe Boll-style explosions and noise. protoss look like the covenant in halo wars. everything looks like plastic. Jim Raynor is a half brain-dead, drunken idiot. everything looks like its extremities (i know what your thinking, don't even try) are about 70% larger then necessary. and you have to PAY for the other campaigns. that poor cash cow must be so sore...
