We're all equal, just some are more equal than others. Greatest picture book ever written.
It wasn't a picture book.
You mean the public may become... Informed? :suicide:
This is bollocks. The political systems in europe and elsewhere in the west aren't breaking down yet they have the same access to the internet. Besides, the american political system was originally built to run on pamphlets made by small printers. The event of TV was a major upset for it, causing major distortions that are being felt to this day. However, blogging works in much the same way as pamphlets. The system is returning to normal. Not that I think it's much good in the current situation. The constitution was intended to be replaced after 10 years, you know. This is the result of a badly upgraded system originally built for the 1700s.

What I said. The thing was intended to be replaced every ten years, if I recall correctly. But I admit has done an admirable job. Like a 1999 video card runing a 2010 game with good graphics.

The founding fathers were a weird lot. With more weird ideas than you'd think, besides the ones that we'd consider reasonable like no cruel and unusual punishment. Not all of them were in favor of a republic either. I think one of the minor ones wanted to make a new monarchy. Can't put a name to him at the moment. Obviously the rest rated him boxes. Must have decided that a constitutional convention every 10 years would have been too much trouble. Although I can't remember for the life of me where I heard about it.
It's quite interesting the effect the internet has on economy. Think about it: the economy is based almost entirely on the concept of scarcity. If you buy a chair from someone, that chair belongs to you and nobody else. With information on the internet, it can be copied and shared infinitely; it's the antithesis of scarce. I suppose that's why piracy is such a grey area in the law.
Internet 1 - Media 0

In the real world you cant clone a DVD without purchasing another DVD, in a virtual world you can make a near infinite amount of copies, and so piracy laws do not work.
What? He never said how the internet has any influence on politics.
A term like "Ungovernably information-rich" makes my stomach churn and my justice circuits rage.
This.
A term like "Ungovernably information-rich" makes my stomach churn and my justice circuits rage.
It's called being incomprehensibly ignorant to reality. Or a cock head.
