Fable 2 was my favourite Fable. There, I said it
I agree with you 100%.
I don't understand why some people don't appreciate it more.
First. Bullfrog now lionhead.
Lionhead has been a husk for years. This is a mercy killing.

Fable 2 was pretty dang good tbh, Id love a pc version that doesnt run at 30fps max.
The Fable series may be my favorite series ever, bar Souls. I even enjoyed III. Fuck that kinect game though.
They were dying for awhile anyway. But I hope whoever get's the IP's do them justice.
I enjoyed Fable 3 too but dang what a mess it was, the beginning of Lionheads decline really.
Going to play through Black & White 2 again now
They earned their demise to be honest.
They completely misunderstood what Fable was about with Fable 3, and went so far off the deep end that they reached Kinect Horse grooming simulator and DOTA simulator with the other two.
Going to miss their name and logo, especially this interactive one from back in the day:

Not that I really thought it'd ever happen, but a The Movies spiritual successor or sequel would be a great deal of fun. I loved it as a sim game, and the ridiculous machine-wrote movies were always a laugh.
RIP, I thought they were gone a long time ago actually.
Thank for the memories, fucking loved The Movies and Black and White.
I still have the Movies on disc... might have to load it up for old times sake.
RIP Lionhead. They hadn't put out anything of note since fable II but it was a damn good game.
FUCK. I had really hoped for a sequel to Black & White 2. One of my top 5 games I have ever played.

Yeah you'd never have got it either way, these guys died years ago, let's just hope someone picks the IP up and actually does something with it.
Someone please buy Black & White IP and make a VR Black & White.
It's all I want in life.
I never knew how badly I needed this until just now. I would buy a VR headset even just for a 1:1 recreation of B&W1.
Lionhead needed to stop trying to reinvent the wheel with every new release.

I swear, I'm the only person who actually liked Fable 3...

The first half was fun, the second half was boring.
Never played the movies. But I loved the black and white series, and want to love the fable games. There's a lot of great things about fable but so much shit that held them back too, in 1 & 2 it was tolerable, but 3 just wound up worse and became pretty repulsive to play.
The thing that I liked most about B&W 2 was how nothing was really on a grid, and you could make roads and walls that followed the flow of your mouse. I also liked how the armies were actually recruited and you could see all the males running to the recruiting tent thing and getting armed, then you'd only be left with a village of women. And of course the dynamic destruction and tossing around boulders/playing god.
It was just a great game.
The Movies with the expansion has to be one of the best games ever made in my opinion.

In general I loved how if I was an evil sob the temple would turn all black and spikey on the outside and the inside, and that would carry over into skirmishes too
Honestly, it's been dead for years. Just now it's off life support.

You know I've thought about making a spiritual successor or trying to at least.

If you do and need music and/or sound effects i would love to help.
It seems like all the studios I grew up with won't survive my adulthood - except for Take-Two Interactive Software (currently Take 2) I suppose who I doubt is going down any time soon.
The industry's a tough place, though; it's hard to stay on top forever.
Hope all the folks working there find good jobs elsewhere.
Naughty Dog is still here

They also seem to be just a empty shell of their former self.
