I just woke up, looked at the window and was like "awesome lucid dreaming", but the pinching hurt. "HOLY SHIT!"
I've seen shit like that before back when the boundary waters are had that huge forest fire, but that's not exactly a common occurrence!
[QUOTE=trogdor6666;17453543]Lol at that tree. Never seen that before. Here in USA we cut the whole fucking thing down.[/QUOTE] Here in Canada we let the tree knock the power lines over and then wonder why the power is out for a few hours. Also, [img]http://filesmelt.com/downloader/oblivion.jpg[/img]
[QUOTE=DeadorK;17453139]Don't be retarded, this isn't freakish weather. It's a dust storm. This shit happens all the time in Western Australia and Victoria.[/QUOTE] What? I've lived in Victoria my entire life and I've never seen it get even close to this red.
[QUOTE=RedSauce;17455051]Wish we could've gotten that up in Brisbane, it looks freaking awesome.[/QUOTE] Yep, we're getting it in Brisbane now. Image tag'd for big images. [media]http://i38.tinypic.com/245dfdc.jpg[/media] [media]http://i34.tinypic.com/x2ufj9.jpg[/media] Woot, it's worse/better now. [QUOTE=SuPeR_MaN;17453435]That's just the beginning [img]http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/io9/2009/04/geofftaylorredweed.jpg[/img][/QUOTE] But that's about 100 years late.
I'm on the outskirts of Brisbane City and everything is cast in a pale yellow light, and ambulances are going past, it's freaky as fuck.
It is now a thick layer of dust, my Uncle was just about to take off then it got cancelled. He is coming here to Newcastle with more dust. It still looks like this morning here in Newcastle.
I'm allergic to dust.. :tinfoil:
Reminds me of a blowout in stalker. :D
[QUOTE=trogdor6666;17453543]Lol at that tree. Never seen that before. Here in USA we cut the whole fucking thing down.[/QUOTE] Pfft, the assholes in my neighborhood who trim trees too close to power lines will chop half a tree off, and I'm sure they'd do that if they had the chance. On another note, what's with all the strange weather lately?
[media]http://i38.tinypic.com/2aiotvs.jpg[/media] [media]http://i34.tinypic.com/awavq0.jpg[/media] Man, this is awesome.
So awesome. These are magnificent.
This is like the dusters of the Dustbowl in the U.S.
Well you should see all the dumb shits at the car wash. The dust hasn't even settled yet?
This will fuck computers up. Don't open windows and doors and cover your PC
And I also heard on the radio from the Head Person for Hospitals for The Northern Sydney Central Coast Health said that masks won't work unless you have one that was made for you, because the dust is to fine.
South Sydney at 6:15am ish. It's fully cleared up now. It was fully clear at 1:30pm around. Not in Newcastle, it is still very heavy here!
Holy fuck it's like touhou 6 all over again
I wonder if the dust will move to NZ. That would be awesome, red skyed New Zealand.
Sydney gets all the funstuff, we only get bushfires :(
[QUOTE=Samiam22;17460288]I wonder if the dust will move to NZ. That would be awesome, red skyed New Zealand.[/QUOTE] It has, from what I seen from the news. [b]Edit:[/b] I mean it will ;-;
[QUOTE=l3monm@ster;17460453]It has, from what I seen from the news.[/QUOTE] its been covering brisbane since like 12:30 ...
That's amazing. My mom's in Australia right now, I'll have to ask her if she saw all this.
We sometimes have that in Bavaria, sand from the sahara comes up here across the alps and the sky gets a bit yellow.

In NZ we have rain. :(
This was so awesome. The entire city including my school was coated with an about 5mm thick layer of dust.
You should like shoot a horror movie during this.
