you cant go outside without being shot by stray fucking bullets.
Oh yes, we should definitely help the opposition with military aid, the same guys who randomly kidnap people for ransom, uses human shields and are using child soldiers because they are soooo much better than that Assad asshole. As I've said in other threads, siding and cheering for either jackals is wrong and is incredibly daft. Russia supports Assad, the US will support whoever can topple him since he's no longer a viable asset to them regardless of their ethics, and in the end Syria becomes a slaughterhouse for a proxy war between the Western and the Eastern powers.
You left indeed, although leaving higly unstable government and letting all go down the shitter.
That can't be blamed on the intervention, for the UN/NATO to have left them with a stable government it would have defeated the whole point of the revolution.
The West can't fucking win, can it? We intervene - it's wrong. We don't intervene - it's wrong. We stay to support the new government - it's wrong. We leave as soon as possible so as to not piss people off - it's wrong.
Well maybe the West shouldn't have drawn completely artificial borders through areas long inhabitated by certain ethnic groups after WW2.
Goddamn it. Stop posting RT shit. Its a state funded Russian propaganda machine. Similar to how fox is a billionaire funded propaganda machine.
Russia should just back the fuck off from Syria. Support a case where they're all killing each other? Russia, you idiots. I still don't understand why the US -has- to make a interception here, it's pathetic that only the US, or a first world country has to babysit this bullshit. Putting sons and daughters, families on the line dying over in some sandy place, where they behead and blow each other up anyway like freaking cavemen.
Because we live off their ressources(namely oil and gas).
That can't be blamed on the intervention, for the UN/NATO to have left them with a stable government it would have defeated the whole point of the revolution.
Getting bombed into the stone-age can really set your county back.
Put Al-Houla into youtube. It's not the only case of this, just the main example.
Not even the main example. Check out Al-Haffeh.
RT is a piece of shit news source. It's about as bad as InfoWars.
I know right, those dumb cavemen fighting for their freedom instead of submitting to their violent government. You wouldn't look so much like an idiot right now if you refrained from posting the bolded sentence
Okay, justify this: NFSW http://theync.com/static_html/man-thorwn-from-building_media.html A guy who apparently had a line with the government, thrown from his building onto the ground. http://theync.com/static_html/machine-gun-execution2_media.html Another man who apparently worked with the government, gunned down, and shot several times point blank in the head, until his brains came out. NFSW I'm sure there is plenty more. How the hell do you justify going into a country, where they do this to their people, if they have are 'suspected' to be working near the government. You can't.
Did you guys seriously just cite RT as a legitimate news source? It makes Fox News look good.
I know right, those dumb cavemen fighting for their freedom instead of submitting to their violent government.
The issue isn't as black and white as that. The other side is also committing all sorts of violent murders and other atrocities.
Well maybe the West shouldn't have drawn completely artificial borders through areas long inhabitated by certain ethnic groups after WW2.
Dude, the US wasn't even INVOLVED in the the wholesale destruction that was European expansion into Africa.
Dude, the US wasn't even INVOLVED in the the wholesale destruction that was European expansion into Africa.
Because America is the only country widely referred to as "West".

I'll bet you a hug that the no fly zone will turn into a bomb tank and other strategic locations zone.
I'm not really inclined to trust a video site that is 2/3rds gore and 1/3rd porn.
These are the most trustworthy sites of all. gore and sex, you can't possibly get any more truthful.
It would be nice if the UN or Europe took care of this one. I've had enough of seeing my country overextend itself in foreign conflicts.
God damn it, now Russia is going to have a excuse to further support Syria to "balance" it again.
US shouldn't intervene and people should stop urging the USA to act as the global police
What a convenient way to skew things. Who would have thought attacking military targets targeting civillians leads to rebels gaining an advantage?
To be honest the strikes began to target military targets that were only moving into positions to retake control of rebel controlled territories. While I can agree with targeting units and assets which intentionally target civilian targets, doing the same for military targets who are engadging militants in the same area and are at least somewhat careful of their targets is a whole different matter. In that case - grounding the mercenary airforce which pretty much intentionally bombarded civilian instalations was fine. But doing the same to armoured collumns who were not felt like it was honestly going from intervention to direct siding with the rebels. Which is essentially one of the reasons the Arab league began to withdraw their support fairly quickly after the strikes against Quadafi's forces intensified.
These are the most trustworthy sites of all. gore and sex, you can't possibly get any more truthful.
add a few liberal dashes of racism here and there, and you're golden.

sure is a lot of bitching in this thread
The West can't fucking win, can it? We intervene - it's wrong. We don't intervene - it's wrong. Umm no, this would piss off Russia really bad as they need Syria for their port access. It's a touchy situation you can't just fucking charge in there and intervene no matter how bad the massacres are.
sure is a lot of bitching in this thread exactly this, i want to just go back to pre-FDR isolationist policies and see what happens
I've thought the same thing. No foreign intervention. No foreign aid. Just go silent. See how things turn out. Let us see what the rest of the world misses more. Our military, or our aid money.
