all of the odd-numbered ones look completely uninspired. #1 has to be a joke
all of the odd-numbered ones look completely uninspired. #1 has to be a joke
Probably threw a lot of them together to combat all the complaints about the box art.
I love 4, looks more like a book cover than a video game, very original.
I like 4 just because it reminds me of Dr. Seuss.
I don't like 4...
1, 3 and 5 are fairly generic. 2 fits the theme and is thus awesome. 4 wins.
I can see where there were trying to go with 4, but honestly, the execution is just so poor it looks like some shit from that vgcovers.com site
the logo looks really out of place in #4 and #6
the logo looks really out of place in #4 and #6
Can't disagree with you on that one.
4 looks so god damn good, it makes me want to play the game for some reason thank god it's winning.
I like 2 but 4 is really unique and I would love to see it win
4 is my choice here.
4 reminds me of a Herge style drawing. 5 is probably the most descriptive about the game. I wouldn't really be able guess what the game is about from rest of the covers. None of them are that great to be honest.
I prefer either 4 or 5.
4 would look so unique, I love it. I hope it wins.
4 and 6 are amazing.
2 4 6
I like 3 and 5, the rest just seem lacking.
Those 2 besides the first one seem to be the most generic covers ever.
4, because of the stark contrast with the 'default' cover.
I don't like any of the covers really. I was looking for something that combines 1910's aviation culture with Bioshock's steampunk style. 2 and 6 do OK, I still think they're boring. 4 just looks vaguely like ancient asian art and I don't feel that it fits well.
I love #4, it reminds me of a cover of a children's book.
#4, But only if they change the title logo to match.
Call me shallow but if I saw a game with the cover of the 4 in a store, I would probably give it a try despite not knowing what it was.
Why are people so seriously angry over the cover? I think it's perfectly fine.
Why are people so seriously angry over the cover? I think it's perfectly fine.
While I don't think it's something to be full on angry at, it is a bit eh that it's generic " "badass" gun pose dude #95874562" I just hope they like post all of them on the website and have it printable (though you would need special paper to make it look good). Cuz I like almost all of em.
I'd be okay with all of them except 1 or 3. 1 is empty and boring, and 3 is too similar to the original cover, which is already kind of... Bad.

Box art is meant to grab the attention of those who do not know about the game, it's the first thing they see and its within those moments that they decide "maybe i should check this out". So "generic badass gun pose dude #95874562" is what gets the majority interested so they use it.
4 and 6. 1 is fucking boring, 2 is good only for concept art, 3 is good but is obviously the one to tend to the absent minded or uneducated, and 5 is like 3 but also looks like just some weird concept art. [editline]12th December 2012[/editline] Also, 4 looks akin to the cover art to one of my favorite albums ever.
2 for sure, keeping it in line with Bioshock's original cover.
4,5, and 6 are my favorites.
