I guess he spilled the beans. (User was banned for this post ("Dumb pun" - Craptasket))
Well done, you're banning for puns now. Image Macro bans were stupid enough.
that higways gonna have gas troubles not only from the cars exhaustes but the beans to!!!!! :P (User was accidentally banned for this post ("Oops" - Craptasket))
Wasn't a pun. Just him posting dumb. I wonder how many posts left before this topic is raged down into oblivion because of a couple of dumb jokes.
Hmm, a news article about baked beans - spilled in a public locale? I wonder what quaint, intellectual discourse I may find inside? *monocle pops off, spits tea at screen*
Oh man my sides

Let me guess, Image Macro. :p
boy you guys sure do take the cake, only fp could take an intentional exaggeration and quote it multiple times to say "lol intellectuals!! nuh uh!" it's exactly what i'm talking about with the puns. Seriously 4 people tried to cash in on the exact same joke. it's astounding.
I ain't buying it.

Well I hope the driver wasn't baked when this happened.
This was the post that made me laugh hardest:
that higways gonna have gas troubles not only from the cars exhaustes but the beans to!!!!! :P (User was banned for this post ("Dumb pun" - Craptasket))
Articles like this are basically made for puns. I think silly news stories should be exempt from the no puns rule. Serious ones which could actually have potential for a decent discussion are understandable though. Back on topic, I wonder how long the road was closed down for.
It'd be horrifying to drive down the road and see a massive pile of beans. [sp]free gas[/sp]
Oh wow. I just noticed the new rule change. Welp. Allow me to present my riveting opinion on this news story in a manner allowed by the rules: This is unfortunate.
wow that's some fairly crappy moderation on that first post, and craptasket is usually fair about this kinda stuff. sorry I have an opinion, I predict a ban for stating it.
Puns =/= Sarcasm Whilst sometimes obvious, they can require a subtle wit and underlying intelligence to create and decipher. They are humourous, and thought provoking. In a board titled: Sensationalist Headlines, it would be abhorrent to ban the use of puns, which are most used in sensationalist headlines of Newspapers and articles. ======================================== Example: ---------------- News Story: Man discovers rare kind of peanut. Headline: Man discovers his nuts. ======================================== Double Entendres are a comedic and linguistic right. Is there any true logical argument against them, or is it just conjectured/subjective opinion?
Puns should be okay, but they are overused alot like memes. But can be used in lighter news instead of sad news.
