95% of Marines uncomfortable serving with openly gay troops

I would have problems with it too, I like don't ask don't tell better.
It basicaly is just 5 forms saying you arn't gay and you won't be in any gay activities and that you are not gay.
Even if you are gay, you are NOT gay in the millitary.
Depends on what kind of "openly gay"
Openly gay as in:
HEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYY HOW'S IT GOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Or:
I like dudes
If it's the former, fuck yea I'd be uncomfortable
I have friends who are the latter, and I'm okay with that (and I'm pretty sure hardcore Marine Corps troops wouldn't either). I've got a HUGE problem with the gays who do the first.
rant start
One of my gay friends introduced me to one of his friends (not his partner) and he was the super-stereotypical gay. Hell, he wouldn't shut up about it. After about 20 minutes of this, I told him politely to shut the fuck up. He got all huffy and told me I was a homophobe (in case you didn't know this, I'm bisexual). My friend told his friend to shut the fuck up with no politeness. He still wouldn't shut up and claimed, "Neither of you two understand how I think. You'll never understand." This is the problem with (unfortunately) most of the gay/lesbian/furry/fetishist community. There are a select number who can't hold their opinions and preferences to themselves and have to tell anyone and everyone. If they'd learn to STFU, then there'd be much fewer problems (like never having to implement don't ask don't tell bullshit).
rant end
I could have sworn statistics usually do not have much credibility

Do you really think a hardcore flamer is going to join the military?

rant end
Just throwing this out there, but you did state your sexual orientation in your own post complaining about homosexuals who "tell anyone and everyone" their sexuality.
But I CAN'T FUCKING STAND people like that either.
Gays should stay in San Francisco where they belong. I served two tours in Afghanistan and I made sure the gays in my Section were on point.

It was relevant to his rant, and his rant was semi-relevant to the thread.
What about women serving in the military?
[editline]30th October 2010[/editline]
Actually are women ever fighting alongside men on the front lines? Because if not I'd say that's something that needs dealing with before gays.
What about women serving in the military?
They are the cum dumpsters.
so wait up
marines, totally comfortable with:
jumping out of airplanes
doing naval operations
boarding ships for raids
but when it comes to gays, they become "uncomfortable"
*slow claps*
To be fair soldiers felt the same way about blacks in WWII.
[editline]29th October 2010[/editline]
and Jews

If I hadn't have said that, then my rant would not have made much sense. At least I wasn't like "HURR DURR IMMA LIKE BOTH AND IMMA BE NROMAL LOL"

for people who hold guns and sometimes kill people, soldiers sure are sensitive
They're the fucking marines what do you guys expect.
They aren't the Army, they aren't the Navy, they're the MARINES.

Because someone else is uncomfortable with my beliefs, opinions, or myself, that should not infringe on my rights because they are offended, unless it's obviously openly obscene. Being gay, regardless of whether it's a choice or not, is a personal matter, and it is not up to others to determine another's rights based on their beliefs on it.
We had the same issue with blacks in World War Two. Because I'm uncomfortable serving alongside Christians, Blacks, Arabs, people of Welsh decent, and people with accents typical of south Miami, should their right to serve be hindered?
I'd only really be uncomfortable in th showers or something, i'd probably get over it though
Most gays aren't attracted to straight men.

My nephew is a marine and from what I've heard a majority of them (including him) are bible thumpers.

I bet Hillary would have done forced segregation already if she were prez. Though I do think obama will do it eventually.
[editline]29th October 2010[/editline]
did I say segregation I mean desegregation
Considering nearly every NATO member allows gays to serve openly, having suffered no detrimental effects from allowing them to, it's about time the US gets the fuck over it.
You know what I mean
[editline]29th October 2010[/editline]
:ninja:
[editline]29th October 2010[/editline]
Also to anyone who says gays can't contribute anything to the armed forces

motherfucker
so the question is were they antigay before they joined, which would be weird because there are many people i know going to the army that think gays are fine or is it that they become it in the army somehow?

I'm betting it was before.
Yeah, I've seen multiple news sources stating that the majority of troops have no objection to serving along side openly gay troops. And here comes fox news citing 95% objection? Come on that's just bad journalism and twisted statistics. :foxnews:

So fox thought that saying that soldiers dont like gays somehow is supposed to make me think that they don't deserve rights
If anything, people who are against gays should be barred from serving.
No tolerance
Don't serve.

This, and take out the fucktards that shoot at everything that moves, like those press people that got AC-130'd.

That is completely irrelevant, this thread isn't about whether they feel uncomfortable about other stuff, it's about gays.

No, it's now about fox news failing even harder than usual, read the other thread with pentagons statement saying the exact opposite.
