the studies that support the wage gap between men and women already account for career choice, race, sexuality, family background, etc.. ie they control for literally every factor possible other than gender. so this idea that the wage gap is caused by women just being lazier than men is not only inherently sexist but false
link to said studies?
nobody ever implied this you just have a persecution complex so you think "straight white males have advantages" means "ALL WHITE PEOPLE HAVE PRIVATE LIMO DRIVERS AND THEY DONT HAVE TO PAY RENT"
I was exaggerating, though "Land of the Free, If you're a straight white male" implies that everyone else is in fact not free, and or are your servants, as if this was somehow still the early 1900s.

[editline]2nd February 2013[/editline] you cant take one point, wage negotiations, and turn that into "many things". especially when those 'many things' were already accounted for in the study [editline]2nd February 2013[/editline] i'm not reading the entirety of warran farrells' study on the wage gap. summarize. It's like government would command you to share your home with 15 homeless people just for the cause of everyone being "equal".
Really guys... holy shit I really don't want to have to explain such a simple fucking comic. ALRIGHT: So, on the conservative side of the coin, we have everyone, however two of the people can't see well over the railing, or, make it on their own. so they equally distribute help, even to those who don't need it. And because of the amount of help that went to those who didn't need it, not enough got to the people who really needed it to get by. On the liberal side, they looked at the situation, and realized "Hey, you don't need help, you have it just fine!" and distributed them out in such a way that everyone got what they needed. This isn't about taking away your home and giving it to 15 homeless people (unless you make millions a month), it's about not giving enough aide to those who really need it, while providing the un-needed aid to those who don't, under the guise of 'equality'. (The super wealthy and the poor) leaving the middle man alone. with exactly what he needs. It addresses that people aren't equal, and that giving everyone the same aide isn't the proper solution, we have to look at the situation and provide aide where it counts. Holy shit enough with the baseball box anology shit.
i didn't realise people took conservatism seriously as actual grounds for an ideology i always thought it was just something somebody said to show they're not a 'liberal'
Well, it's 100x better than arguing with an MRA who is in love with Warran Farrel
To call me an "activist" is a bit harsh (ad hominem much?), I have a very consistent tendency to be very defensive as opposed to aggressive when dealing with issues/arguments. People offer points and I get to tear them apart with counter points (and usually get ignored anyways). Besides, I thought you were supportive of the gay community? also in response to the "reddit user" comments, lol no, Reddit's commenting system alone is bad enough to keep me away from the site, let alone it's user base. edit: bit late on this one but whatever:
Fair enough, but a lot of the things you posted were saying things about their choice of jobs.
Yeah I was pointing out parts of the article provided to me as proof of the wage gap issue, which the articles themselves said were at worst 7-8%.
