Did anyone catch the fact he killed four people? People seemed bias just because it happened in China, and automatically scream "Oppression!".

Maybe if people started treating drunk driving like murder, they'd begin to understand that it's an extremely stupid danger to this world because you're too much of an ass to call a cab or friend. Drunk driving isn't something you just slap someone on the wrist for, especially in the case of it killing 4 people. That's something I think our country does wrong, not that I support the death penalty for anything but that's a cultural difference I won't get into.

If you kill somoene whether accidental or not, your life should be forfeit upon the discretion of the family(or families) of the person you took the life of.

People who would kill a human being for killing another have fooled themselves into believing that they care about human lives. I think that if you actually cared, you would rather have 4 dead than 5. I am absolutely, 100%, against the death penalty. For [B]any[/B] reason. I understand you are angry that these people died. But do you understand that this man, a living, breathing HUMAN BEING, a person with friends, family, a job, hobbies; a person who has experienced and still could experience happiness, sadness, anger, and love, is now going to be ended ON PURPOSE. Would you think it was "justice" if that was you? Would you think it was fair as they put a needle into you and you realized that all the years left were now to be wasted completely? That everything you loved was about to come to an end for no reason other than archaic justifications? There's no such thing as wrong and right, other than on an individual basis. The law is here to protect ALL it's citizens, even it's "criminals"; not to enforce some small minded, almost religious idea of "morality". I accept that some sacrifices must be made to retain order, but this is a mindless, stupid waste, and anyone who supports it is acting on emotion, not logic. inb4 "Those four people had lives too". That makes absolutely no difference, you can do human "math" like that. Killing this man doesn't save those other people, it doesn't even effectively stop others.

You're basing it on morals just as much as anyone: Every life is sacred, and feel empathy for this man.

What if the person who accidently killed someone because he overcorrected after driving off the road by accident just happened to be black and the family just happened to be racist? What if they were just dicks or were biased, like most would be, because it was one of their family members? How can you call drunk driving an accident anyway? Sure he was drunk but you still have enough sense to know that driving would be stupid.

A lot of people may say its justified, but if you were in his situation, you would definitely change your stance.
