They should get more immigrants who can live happily on welfare.
Well...stop.
Nicotine is extremely addicting. It's not that easy.
I'd just stop working and live on the government money while working black just like every immigrant here.
They should get more immigrants who can live happily on welfare.
This. For years a lot of foreigners (primarily Bulgarians i believe) have come here to exploit a loophole to obtain free money. Even worse are the people that are perfectly fine but firmly believe they are not the type of person suitable to work. Well fuck you and get a job. Then there's other issues but expressing your opinion about it as a politician is considered discrimination. Yeah lets not offend anyone by ignoring the problem.
According to quick research, life expectancy is around 81 years in the Netherlands at the moment. So you work 9-5 all your life and get maybe 10 years of retirement in poor health. Sounds great to me!
At this point I don't even expect to have a retirement and work till the day I die. Probably skip the old folks home where you can take a show every week and a piss once a day while I'm at it.
No point living within the system if its going to screw you over so hard.
I don't see what the problem is here. Let's say a guy studies until he's 23 (I'm going to assume he aces his university years) and works until he's 65. Considering the life expectancy in the Netherlands is 81 years, which will no doubt rise by then, he'll work for 42 years and live without working for 39 years. I don't really see how a nation can survive if its citizens aren't producing anything for half of their lives. As the life expectancy grows, the amount of years you work should as well, otherwise the pensions system becomes unsustainable.
Switch to smokeless tobacco, it's much less damaging than cigarettes.
chewing tobacco is known to cause oral cancer. unless you mean e-cigarettes. e-cigarettes are neat.

People supporting this must have never seen a 70 years old person before. There's always that one guy perfectly healthy and all, most are either senile, have cancer, alzheimer or in the best case : have troubles moving around. Fuck that shit so much, if I'm still working by the day I turn 70 I'll just go and shoot the Minister of Labour. You also conveniently ignore the fact that healthcare and medicine is improving, increasing our life expectancy and making us more able when we're older. We can't keep the same working ages when people are living so much longer because it is simply unsustainable.
Ha! 71.5? Here in America most old people in my generation will either die before then or work themselves to death AFTERwords
yea because it's so easy to just completely drop an addiction. i'v "just stopped" at least 5 times.
I know this varies from person to person but I had a heavy smoker friend and one good day she completely stopped smoking. That was a year ago. Hasn't touched a cigarette ever since.

Had to get a lung transplant and then she got bird flu at the same time so she couldn't take the immuno suppressants and it damaged her new lung. She was so happy right before that though. I miss my grandma don't smoke please
In Poland it's 67 or 68. They changed it last year for everyone but people who will retire in a few years or so, I think. Shit sucks.
In Poland it's 67 or 68. They changed it last year for everyone but people who will retire in a few years or so, I think. Shit sucks.
Hopefully it'll stop all the polish people from coming to Holland.
When the previous laws of retirement ages where set, life expectancy was about 70. So you would work until 65, and then have 5 years off and die. Now life expactancy is reaching into the mid 80's, the way our pension systems are build is not to sustain a person for almost 20 years of not producing anything. Its more than normal that when life expectancy increases, so does retirement age. EDIT: A note to everyone hating on foreigners to come work here. You are fucking retarded, look at the history of our country, we thrived because we imported workers from other nations. You must not scare the polish/eastren europeans away.
yea because it's so easy to just completely drop an addiction. i'v "just stopped" at least 5 times.
From personal close experiences with friends I know it isn't easy. I wish the best for you, and goodluck
Retirement isn't a great idea, its better to reduce hours and keep going as long as yon can.
Raising the retirement age seems to be popular now. Me and my friends who are same age have theorized that we get our dying day off when we're 90+ and that's it. Died too young to get any pension.

Set aside money every month and retire early.
