You did it. You worked it out.

Blairites
what's with the corbyn hate up in here
He has bad policies, has said terrible things in the past, and has associated himself with terrible groups
what's with the corbyn hate up in here
he is feable.. even moreso than ed miliband.
100% sure he'll lose seats.
except there was a long period of time where michael foot was the favourite. jeremy has never polled above may or cameron
bring on 2020 where we can get rid of corbyn and instate god chuka umunna
I don't like Corbyn, but Chuka is basically a champagne socialist. Didn't he step down from the leadership last time because he didn't want the press to find out about alternate lifestyle (his 1m ibiza mansion etc)?

An albeit surprising,but best outcome.
YouGov managed to get the vote % exactly right

Stubborn Blairites trying to hold onto the days of Labour being Tory-Lite. Corbyn isn't perfect but the man is principled and after all the irritatingly robotic and self-serving politicians we have in this country he's a breath of fresh air, despite some of his more extreme (and admittedly stupid) views on foreign policy.
Seriously why the fuck do people keep voting for the same party that is actively defunding and dismantling the welfare institutions that their great grandparents fought to build?
Blairites
Ah yes the dreaded blairites who hide under your bed and come out at night to deliver popular slightly left of centre policy.

Having recently watched that channel 4 documentary on Momentum I think it's quite obvious that supporters of Corbyn are anything but principled. They're producing more spin than Blair and Alastair Campbell could ever have hoped for.

I'm not sure whether I'm more partial to 'Blairite' or 'Neoliberal' when it comes to my favorite empty insult against people for not being far left-leaning enough.
Is Owen Smith a relative of Winston Smith?
They don't seem to have much in common.
I don't think that Corbyn supporters realise that the number of people they are accusing of being 'Blairites' is higher than the number of Blairites there ever were even at the height of Blair...
Nowadays, there are what? 35, 40 proper Blairites? The rest of the 180 who opposed Corbyn are a hodge-podge of Blue Labour, soft left, Brownites, moderates and so on. They oppose Corbyn not just because he has terrible policies (in particular, many find his foreign policy and his past statements on terror groups like the IRA and Hamas to be disgraceful) but also because he is completely incompetent.

'blairite' and 'tory-lite' are phrases i wish we could expel from history
its almost as if this unelectable tosh has become so because you people want it to be the case.
literally the only thing making him unelectable is your vote, so do what you want in 2020, decades of social progress is begging to be undone.
Structural budget deficits - 'progress'

What is so terrible about his policies, and what'd he say about the IRA and Hamas?
And how is he completely incompetent?
So I guess people here want Owen smith winning am I right?
Structural budget deficits - 'progress'
At least it's honest. Everyone else does that while claiming contrary, I was talking to a Tory voter a few months back and he honestly believed the Tories had lowered the national debt and not doubled it.
'blairite' and 'tory-lite' are phrases i wish we could expel from history
We can get on that right after we expel them from the party. It's a bad label, but a fitting one in these recent Labour troubles.
Corbyn as leader has come about at the perfect time to provide honest and valid left wing opposition to the tories. If the party unites behind him, they could be making real progress against the tories in their flaccid post-brexit pull out state.
Oh wait a minute, I forgot that Corbyn is evil and unelectable and we're just doomed to eternity with the tories because being honest is worthless, and being a bit of an idealist is the worst sin a politician can make.
The way some of you guys go on about Corbyn really makes me wonder.

So who would you propose as an alternative to Corbyn, exactly?
Thanks Labour for guaranteeing the Conservatives win the next election.
This Western worldwide trend is making me very angry.
Conservatives are being absolutely terrible, yet left-wing parties are out doing them on being even shittier?! HOW?! WHY?!

Coz of extremism, everyone moves away from the centre because the people are so pissed off/disgruntled/apathetic toward centre politics. Mainly because of the prolonged effects of the recession with little visible signs of recovery but also inequality, low social mobility and the feeling that our views aren't worth shit.

Blairite might be more effective because it associates people with a soiled brand.
My empty insult of choice is red tie tory.

Ah yes, the documentary where they basically found nothing. I love that some still try and use it to suggest that momentum are anything other than a group of young and older people that feel reinvigorated by the new direction of the Labour party.
Jeremy Corbyn is a true breath of fresh air from the politics we have seen over the last 10 years. If you were given the choice out of Farage, who incites hatred across our country or Cameron, who screwed us over to get power, who would you choose?
The one that screwed us over for generations, the one that caused a sharp increase in hate crime or the one who genuinely cares for the working class?

Principles and well-meaning don't get the job done properly though.

And yet the current government is doing a shit job despite lacking either of those qualities.

I concur.
Principles and well-meaning don't get the job done properly though.
Do you understand that it is a lack of principles that got us into this whole Brexit mess in the first place?
Cameron put hundreds of thousands of jobs and families at risk just to get in power. You can't get the job done properly without principles.
