Oh, I'm not sure about play on the same console. Only one console can run the game at a time.
I'm just hoping my assumption of it is true, that my and one other friend can play on our own consoles at the same time like the graphic suggested.
"Hey guys, we got rid of that thing that everybody hated that we put there in the first place but didn't fix until we were desperate for sales! Guys? Guys? Pay attention to us, guys!"
Why are you disagreeing with this man? The current XBOX LIVE dashboard is worse than it's ever been. It's slow and laggy.
If you're comparing it to the NXE dashboard, you're probably right. If you're talking in general, definitely not, the Blade dashboard was the slowest menu system of all time.
Instead there's going to be a huge app in the center that delivers mountain dew and doritos to your doorstep.
Make it print papa johns pizza and I'm 100% okay with this.
To be honest, I was raised on single-player and splitscreen. And when it comes to things like Call of Duty, playing them online makes me a miserable individual because of how 'I spawn, I die' it can get for me. So I can appreciate singleplayer and bot matches for what they're worth.
cod isn't the only multiplayer game and I'm also talking online coop (DR2, Gow?, UT, Serious Sam, Fable, etc) Serious Sam, that shits amazing with Co-op online.
Sony has been doing the same thing in regards to the DLC being available to anyone for YEARS. The fact that MS now has to separately announce that DLC extends to all accounts after 9 years of screwing families over is p. hilarious. And no one's "yelling about it" because it's a stupidly over complex feature that shouldn't exist. I can share my PS4 games with my family too. It's called, "Leaving the damn console and games out for them to play."
Reading isn't your strong suit is it?
It's still on because it's listening for one command, "Xbox On."

"It is not always watching or always listening," a spokesperson for Microsoft told me over e-mail while I was trying to nail down some facts for a story about next-gen consoles that ran in yesterday's New York Times. In the Times article, I reported that Microsoft says the Kinect can be turned off. The entire console can be powered down. This might seem obvious to anyone familiar with how consumer electronics work, but... let's face facts...the Xbox One has seemed, for the past week, to be a tad different than the average piece of consumer electronics." "Yes, you can turn the system completely off," the Microsoft rep said. "This would use no power and turn everything off. We’ll share more details about how it all works later." I believe this powering off involves the aforementioned power button.
http://kotaku.com/xbox-ones-kinect-can-turn-off-microsoft-says-noting-510100564
I am not an XBox person so enlighten me, why is not having ads on a machine you paid money for and bought mentioned as a feature rather than the norm?

They're advertising that this won't be the case for the Xbox One.

I love the elegant way they word it to make it seem like there's no advertisements when there actually is going to be.
