Wait, we've gone three whole pages without a shit-storm? Where am I? This can't be Facepunch!
I know I'm surprised.
Right, so she has no choice in what she wants to do? how is that not out of line?
Are you saying there's something wrong with a father telling his daughter what to do?
Right, so she has no choice in what she wants to do? how is that not out of line?
You could apply the same thing to Christianity, couldn't you? Pre-marital sex is still a sin there, isn't it?
Coincedentally, did you know the age of consent in the Vatican is twelve? The moar you know.
This is totally wrong, Italy's age of consent also automaticly applies to the Vatican state, thus making it 14 as is law, in Italy.
Yeah I guess so. But I'd imagine the women growing bored of the same Abay(?) dress if they use it for years on end.
They stylize them kind of, they can weave in colored silk patterns on the sleeves and stuff.
I'd rather look at a nice ass in short shorts than a big black robe.
The goal is not to please men with a nice view, it's to show modesty - modesty that a short short yelling "LOOK AT MY ASS" can't really provide.
The goal is not to please men with a nice view, it's to show modesty - modesty that a short short yelling "LOOK AT MY ASS" can't really provide.
Well call me a westerner, but I enjoy a nice ass in tight shorts or jeans, especially from American Eagle.
Hijab still misundertanded by many people,The hijab is just like a hood that covers hair like this not like the hijab inside your head.that looks like a goddamn Balaclava, That hijab model is came from Arab culture,Not From Islam. It purposes to Cover the face from The sand. otherwise, the islam purposed womens to use hijab to protect them from Sexual explicit,Preventing Rapist. from being erected while seing woman,That trigger Raping.
This is totally wrong, Italy's age of consent also automaticly applies to the Vatican state, thus making it 14 as is law, in Italy.
The Vatican's a seperate state, though. From Wikipedia:
State of the Vatican City is a landlocked sovereign city-state whose territory consists of a walled enclave within the city of Rome, Italy
[editline]16th September 2011[/editline]
Well call me a westerner, but I enjoy a nice ass in tight shorts or jeans, especially from American Eagle.
Modesty is equally attractive to a religious man of most faiths.
Well call me a westerner, but I enjoy a nice ass in tight shorts or jeans, especially from American Eagle.
Different culture. As a french guy I enjoy normal girls that don't wear slutty clothes.
Remember, Hijab is a choice. I know more women who don't wear it than do. My own mother doesn't wear it. [editline]16th September 2011[/editline]
Well call me a westerner, but I enjoy a nice ass in tight shorts or jeans, especially from American Eagle.
Exactly why they cover up, to avoid guys gawking at them, hahah.
Remember, Hijab is a choice.
In the best case it is. In the worst, she's forced to wear it and it's more used as a way to close social activity rather than a way to improve it.
The Vatican's a seperate state, though.
Yes, however as per the "Law of the Source of Law" (see, ratification of the Lateran Treaty in 1929) the Vatican State has generally used current Italian national laws, as well as the regional laws of Rome. As such the Italian age of consent applies directly to the Vatican state.
Which doesn't mean they necessarily follow the rule.
Are you saying there's something wrong with a father telling his daughter what to do?
Yes, If she wants do date someone, then late her. The girl and my friend was in the same class, they were friends and they never slept together nor did they intend to (according to them atleast). Just because she wants to be in a relationship doesn't mean she is going to bone someone. oh and, I also told the father this about she should be able to be in a relationship if she wants and he started saying some shit I didn't understand, I assumed it was cursewords because he was nearly yelling. He then called me a racist.
This thread is highly interesting (mainly thanks to Conspiracy's presence clearing up a lot of things - talk about irony). I mean I never thought of muslims as the monsters some disgusting media formats paint them as, but I never got that much into detail with the culture behind it etc. Not religious myself, but it's fascinating to read about this stuff anyway. Facepunch can be such a nice place if it's behaving atypically. *back to lurking; peace be with you*

From what I understood the problem was that she stopped wearing the hijab. If I was in his father's shoes, I would be pretty worried too, especially when the girl stops wearing it at the same time she dates a girl. Though deciding to beat up the boyfriend was a stupid idea, the girl should've just started wearing the hijab again to reassure her father.

That's odd though, because my source was a book written by Stephen Fry, and he's the smartest man I know. Not only that, but the book was specifically aimed towards de-bunking rumors and urban legends that have been accepted as fact. She wanted to look pretty for her boyfriend, If she wants to wear a certain set of clothes, let her. I do not have anything against muslims/islam but this is ridicilous. and for clarification, she had to wear one of these

I mean her face was still visible. Also her boyfriend was also pretty stupid and pressed if he had to see her without the hijab all the time. At lease wait for some privacy before taking it off.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I'm not agreeing with you.
So a muslim girl cant date a swedish guy? I mean, srsly, I very much doubt that it would have gone that far without anything happening.
Culturally you usually don't date someone of a different culture because it can cause troubles in common life organization. Including being torn apart between taking off a piece of cloth or keeping it and ending up with her boyfriend beaten up because she wouldn't put it back on. And yeah, the chances of them not doing anything is very thin, especially if she took the hijab, which means she probably wouldn't really mind going further.
Countries with a muslim minority definitely need to build more mosques, not only to encourage more interaction between the society and the muslim community, but also to avert radicalisation of smaller muslim groups within the muslim community.
