Damn, sounds like an owl
Swamp Gas.
Even though she looks happy (I would be happy too getting out of the rescue center), I would take her on Animal Hospital just in case. It looks painfull to breathe.
I'm furrly surprised there's not more cat puns in this thread.
Sounds like something is stuck in her throat.
I don't think anyone's mentioned that it's CONSTANTLY purring, too. Isn't that a little weird?
Well, the cat's out of the bag... this cat has the loudest purr in the world.
Wow, I guess that cat really got its mo-PURR PURR PURR PURR PURR PURR
It sounds quiet on the video. Did they lower the volume on it?

PURR PURR What? PURR PURR PURR CAN'T PURR PURR PURR YOU!
The USAF states safe noise levels below I think 84dB. That's ridiculous.. that's louder then some of our equipment. I hope it keeps getting louder..
The video doesn't seem to do it justice though.

Obviously
Obviously
I find that pointless. The only way I could get a general idea how loud the cat really is would be to crank my speakers. Which would be ineffective because I don't want to here that tard talking throughout the video when I want to hear the supposedly SUPER LOUD cat.
I saw this like 3 weeks ago...late..
Man, every single time I read a post of yours I fucking cringe. Do you really need to tell us that you've seen this three weeks ago? Why is it worth saying that it's late? this guy is just showing other people, Jesus Christ. You really do make yourself out to look like a socially inept freak, you know that right?
How is it even possible that this cat can purr as 'loud as a 747.' Wouldn't a huge jet engine be louder than a cat?

Modern jet's are fairly quite when landing until reverse thrust is used ;)
Oh man! I have a grey cat named smokey as well!
except she's fat and doesn't purr. She just sleeps on all the furniture and occupies the sink.
They mentioned that they tell the cat to shut-up.
Cat's also purr when under stress...
Maybe this cat is like "oh fuck, another abusive family :frown:" and is constantly stressing out?

I don't think they told it to shut up when it first moved in and was purring. I'm sure it came after the first night they couldn't sleep from a jet backfiring in their room.

yea around 85dB is where it starts causing ear damage if it's prolonged exposure(i think its a half hour or hour)
even half as loud at 70dB after a few hours you can start to have hearing damage
that would be annoying
I didn't know 85DB was that quiet.
Wow. I wonder how they sleep at night.
Well I could maybe see this as a hearing loss issue if you got up as close as the db meter did for a period of time.
