This :frown:
What the fuck why would anyone want this legal?
There are plenty of people who are completely paralysed, can do nothing for themselves except speak and think. There are also alot of people who are terminally ill, who face living the next 6 months of their lives in complete and utter pain.
These people would commit suicide, but because of physical restraints, cannot. Their own bodies are removing their own free will to end their lives, so they want a regulated, government-backed laws and insitutions letting qualified doctors kill them humanely and painlessly.
Of course, the main reason blocking this is the 'old man who can't speak, has alot of money, but the family says he wants to die' argument, which is completely and utterly valid.
Personally I'd agree on a system where only the able-minded and penny-less were able to choose (To make a secure trial-based system). But of course our conservative overlords aren't interested because it's 'wrong'.

Why not make it mandatory to have a living will written out when you turn 18? Problem solved.
I'm not British, can you explain who the biggest and smallest people are?
The Conservatives are the ruling party, but don't have a majority, so they formed a coalition with the Liberals (Clegg, etc)
Conservative (In power)
Seats: 307
Voters: 10,726,614
36.1%
Labour
Seats: 258
Voters: 8,609,527
29.0%
Liberal Democrat (Conservatives bitch)
Seats: 57
Voters: 6,836,824
23.0%
But of course, because of our utterly retarded voting system, the Liberals have nearly 1/4 of the votes, but less than 10% of power in government.
/End needlessly long and dull explanation.
Why not make it mandatory to have a living will written out when you turn 18? Problem solved.
Because the amount of amendments you'd make from then until death would be a legal pain in the ass. Enforcing that would also be needless and expensive.
How come?
Goes against everything doctors learn about.
The only way I would personally allow is it if they agreed to fight to the death.
That way they still suffer but die quicker and everyone is happy.

There has been criticism of the oath that it is too old actually.
And yeah it makes perfect sense to keep someone alive, drugged up to their eyeballs on morphine without a clue what the fuck is going on around them doesn't it.
You know, when instead they could die painlessly, quickly and with dignity and pride and still know what's happening around them as it happens.
1st is so much better am I right?
Doctors help people, if putting someone out of their misery helps them, so be it.

Or you could just skip the drug part and leave them to suffer until they die.
Personally I just prefer suffering and well I see if you choose quick easy death you have no pride or dignity. Ones who fight to the end are the ones who deserve pride and dignity.
In that case, good. I thought he meant required euthanasia, where if a senior is deemed too weak by his/her doctor they can kill him/her without their, or their family's, permission.
what the fuck is wrong with you
Brothels are always going to produce STDs and other diseases in some form, it's inevitable. Then again, it's well-deserved. Going to a bar then paying someone you've never met to have sex with you just for lolz because you can never get an actual partner is just fucking pathetic.
judgmental again i see
what the fuck is wrong with you

hes better then he was when he first got here.
Sounds good, don't see why Brothels are included, unless it's to reduce the amount of rape or something. Either way, it's adapting to modern society, which old policies can't cater for.
I wants me bud'z son. gime dat cannbis
I know. I've met plenty of atheists who have just as good of morals as I do (I'm using myself as an example as I consider myself somewhat religious. More of a theist, actually). But then my Christian friends are like "HOLY SHIT UR HANGING OUT WITH SATANISTS WTF".
Your "christian friends" don't sound like friends to me.
Leave them illegal, troll prostitutes that smoke weed and want to be euthanised when they're ill.
In my hometown the brothel charges £7.50 a go. The girls keep a third.
I agree with the Weed and Brothels, but I'm a little unsure about Euthanasia. Normally I'd like to agree, but it's something that I'm always afraid would be exploited and done due to a terrible decision.
The only one I can't agree with is euthanasia.
I'm pretty sure if you were in a terminal state and had to suffer intense pain everyday you'd want to kill yourself too.

I'm fine with it as long as you or a trusted loved one only had the right to consent a doctor to do so.

Good luck fighting terminal illness as a tumour tears your aorta open.
Like really, good fucking luck not tearing your vocals cords screaming in agony.

Why do you want to force people to match your (wrong) definition of pride and dignity?

Man, you are fucked up.
Nah he isn't, he's just stupid.
I made a small essay on my views on euthanasia but I can't find it. Basically I want it legal but with regulations so that it can't be abused and everyone is completely sure it's in the best interests of everyone.

Ok then. Let us cut off both of your legs and one of your arms, burn you, hit you in the head with a crowbar, but leave you conscious. Would you want to die or not?
You're sick, saying it's good for the elderly to suffer.
Yeah it's not like you just walk into a clinic and say I fancy dying can i have some morphine?
It'll be like the patient requires full consciousness and confirmation from 3 doctors and the opinions of two close relatives or friends to back up the patients true intent and motive.
And even then it would only be for guaranteed terminal illnesses and life long disabilities, amongst them Cluster migraines, from the wiki:
The pain of cluster headaches is markedly greater than in other headache conditions, including severe migraines; experts have suggested that it may be the most painful condition known to medical science. Female patients have reported it as being more severe than childbirth. Dr. Peter Goadsby, Professor of Clinical Neurology at University College London, a leading researcher on the condition has commented:
"Cluster headache is probably the worst pain that humans experience. I know that’s quite a strong remark to make, but if you ask a cluster headache patient if they’ve had a worse experience, they’ll universally say they haven't. Women with cluster headache will tell you that an attack is worse than giving birth. So you can imagine that these people give birth without anesthetic once or twice a day, for six, eight, or ten weeks at a time, and then have a break. It's just awful."[

:monocle:
Brothels are a lot safer than streetcorners or strangers' cars or secluded areas.
Plus you can get security/better police patrolling if prostitutes stick to one place
It would be easier to get them to use condoms if it wasn't illegal too.
It would be easier to get them to use condoms if it wasn't illegal too.
That's the point, they would only get employed if they done it through a brothel and the brothel would have to adhere to the regulations.
Benefits of prostition being legal:
Government can tax it,
Safer for clients and prostitutes - proper regulation ( STD checks, mandatory use of condoms or whatever)
Prostitutes can have legal support (unions and shit) for gaining better wages
Disadvantages:
Moralfags will rage
I think it's clear what's best.
