I went to http://www.random.org/ and setup a range of 1-3 and I would just pick whichever with the corresponding number to ensure it's completely random
It went pretty well. You just have to make a lot of (what you think is) counter-intuitive moves, and other mindfuckery. Basically, after you make a choice, ask yourself "Why don't I rather do something else just to fuck around with it?". I also like only using 2 different moves for a long time, then just randomly switching to the third one.
What a persistent little shit
Your last throws were SCISSORS, PAPER, ROCK, SCISSORS. My last throws were PAPER, ROCK, ROCK, PAPER. I am going to search over 200,000 rounds of Rock-Paper-Scissors data and find all the times when the human played SCISSORS, PAPER, ROCK, SCISSORS when I played PAPER, ROCK, ROCK, PAPER. Of all the times humans played SCISSORS, PAPER, ROCK, SCISSORS and I played PAPER, ROCK, ROCK, PAPER, they played ROCK as their next throw the most. I am going to assume that you will do the same this time. Assuming you will throw ROCK, I will throw PAPER, because I know PAPER beats ROCK.
[editline]13th June 2011[/editline] FUCK
Another fun little fact, calm calculating personalities are more likely to take paper as their first move, while more aggressive personalities take rock.
Against novice; 4-3-4 This is educating [editline]13th June 2011[/editline] 12-10-14 against novice now.. fuck this
Clearly I am the hero destined to defeat our evil robot oppressors.
I was fucking with the computer. He last threw rock, so I know he thought I would think not to do paper, which beats it, but scissors which instead beats paper. So I was going to throw rock, but he knew that, and I know that he knows, so I threw paper. And that's how I fucked with him.
I went to http://www.random.org/ and setup a range of 1-3 and I would just pick whichever with the corresponding number to ensure it's completely random
But you do know that the number isn't truly random. It's pseudo-random. There IS a pattern to any number generator's stream of numbers; granted it may take 10198457254888356843850198 or some large number of times for you to start seeing it. /offtopic This is pretty cool, I started out beating it, but then it fucking learned my technique and won every time.
using a random number generator and I currently have 13 wins, 11 ties and 3 loses. welp, that empirically proves that pseudo-random is superior to logic in every possible way in every possible scenario ever.
Fuck patterns. It's much more fun to sit there, feel what you want to pick then pick what would counter the thing that would counter that since the computer should then pick what counters the one you actually want to pick.
I'm at 7/7/3 and climbing. I'm becoming able to predict the computer now o.O [editline]14th June 2011[/editline] Made it to 14/11/4 before I got bored. Interestingly enough, I never threw a single rock. It feels wrong tactically.
I for one welcome our computer overlords.
