People still like Halo, Halo 1 is [I]still[/I] being played... on PC. Its literally impossible on Xbox. Halo 3 online is virtually nonexistent because they're all playing Reach and 4.
The effort it would take to port Halo 3 to PC is so incredibly small in comparison to the effort put into the rest of their projects, and it would make them [I]shittons[/I] of money and ensure that Halo 3 is a game remembered for a LOOOOOOONG time.
Modern shooters, while they took a lot of lessons from Halo, are still different shooters entirely. The experience simply cannot compare, they're two different experiences.
You saying "theres no point in doing this" is simply short sighted and foolish. There are so many possibilities for Halo 3 on PC, and Microsoft refusing to do so is just as dumb as calling Halo, CoD in space.

And yet there is more and more evidence to back up Halo's return to the PC as the days go by. You aren't right or wrong about anything. Ofcourse Microsoft is going to deny it's existence until it happens. If it does that is.
This thread isn't about CoD or if Halo is objectively good or not so how about shutting up and talking about what the thread is about?
If they're straight up saying "no there's no Halo being made for PC" then I doubt it's going to happen. But we can still hope for something, I know I'd buy it for sure.

Just finished two hour long matches of Halo: Custom Edition, CTF, Death Island only.
And that was only one of the many many servers that are still running, proves the point very nicely.
Now if only Microsoft could realize that there's a market for Halo 3 on PC, probably a much bigger market than for the 360 version.

I don't believe [I]all[/I] those things (the AI part I can agree with), but they're arguments I've heard and I can understand exactly why someone would say that. That doesn't mean that this is an appropriate place to say such a thing when it's generally where people congregate to throw their love at the subject.
The Halo intellectual property has existed for more than ten fucking years. It's more than just a game for a lot of us. I [I]met[/I] people through this game. I'd go in a matchmaking game expecting a quick match of Slayer, and end up in a forge session with these people for hours doing nothing and talking about music and politics. I learned things through my peers in the social hub it provided me. Halo 3's ridiculously flexible gametype customization provided me and a group of close knit highschool friends with an infinitely large sandbox of hilarity and entertainment. It kept us close in those times when we were blocks, or even miles away from each other. I'm not a believer, but this was my fucking church.
Now, here you come into a fucking thread about it telling us how "boring" it is. Fuck you. There's no other way I can express this except "Fuck you." Those laughs I had weren't fake. Those people I met and still talk to didn't suddenly die. Those moments I had those years ago still make me smile today.
You know you made a mistake. I understand this, and I accept your /v/alidated apology.
