• Microsoft confirms Halo 3 is not coming to PC

I remember playing custom campaign/solo maps on the custom edition, was fun (you had to load from consol though). I remember some custom multiplayer maps that had AI, but they never synched for Halo CE. With Halo 3 fixing synch through online co-op, think of the possibilities with custom co-op campaign maps or even simply just adding flood in multiplayer maps for say infection.
In my opinion, Halo 1, 2 and ODST were really great.
totally agree, halo 3 was so far off from the feel of the first 2 games, humanity was totally defeated in the span between halo 2 and 3 and it showed in the attitude in the game. I just felt like chief was alone 2/3s of the game also halo 2s flood level where the arbiter and chief met was the best endurance level ever [editline]19th March 2013[/editline] Microsoft doesn't want to port it to the PC because it would probably involve bungie in some legal way because they did make the Xbox version, I think that's really the problem

why not just play Halo 3 on the good ol' 360?
why not just play Halo 3 on the good ol' 360?
because it's dead
because it's dead
what do you mean dead? are the servers shut down or are they just not very populated? I haven't played Halo 3 in a good while.
people only liked halo 3 because they played it when they were kids/teens
why not just play Halo 3 on the good ol' 360?
Because I don't have a 360.
people only liked halo 3 because they played it when they were kids/teens
it was the last GOOD halo. [editline]19th March 2013[/editline]
Because I don't have a 360.
well why would you be whining for a PC version if you never played it on the 360?
it was the last GOOD halo. [editline]19th March 2013[/editline] well why would you be whining for a PC version if you never played it on the 360?
Kinda was left hanging with 2.
it was the last GOOD halo.
Halo, I personally don't think has ever actually had a bad game in it's franchise. I just don't like the multiplayer in the Halo's successive to 3. 4 has a really generic unlock and level up system that's been done to hell.
Microsoft doesnt like games anymore. Its pretty sad there all into this social media bullshit. PS4 wins the console war.
An unreleased console which, if it follows the PS3, PSP GO, and PS VITA launch will have no redeeming exclusives, wins over an unannounced consoles with only rumors floating around?
Halo 3 was pretty barebones and balanced, and it should've stayed that way instead of throwing in unbalanced power-ups in the future games.
^idk. Halo 3 was part-ways there. the Dual wielding kinda fucked it up imo. It made a shitload of guns redundant.
it was the last GOOD halo. [editline]19th March 2013[/editline] well why would you be whining for a PC version if you never played it on the 360?
Did you forget Halo 2's fucking cliffhanger?
people only liked halo 3 because they played it when they were kids/teens
correlation equals causation huahuahuahuahua lel You're making mindless Halo fanboys look like genuines.
Guys, do you really think they're just going to come out and say "lol you got us, here's Halo 3" because of a couple leaks? They're not going to announce it until they're ready.
They can't just lie to us like that. They could just do what everyone else does: "No comment".
They can't just lie to us like that.

They can't just lie to us like that.

They can't just lie to us like that.

They can't just lie to us like that.
Also, they know "no comment" has become universally accepted as Corporateeze for "yes." They need a new and equal term. That term is now "we don't have plans"
An unreleased console which, if it follows the PS3, PSP GO, and PS VITA launch will have no redeeming exclusives, wins over an unannounced consoles with only rumors floating around?
The PS3 had tons of exclusives, unless you're talking about the earlier years where "PS3 has no games" was pretty accurate.
Halo 3 is a pretty fun game even if it isn't exactly the deepest game in the world. I remember playing it a few years ago and thinking it would be super fun if I could use a mouse instead of a gamepad. If they released Halo 3 for around $30 I'd probably buy it, including the heaps of DLC for it. They released the multiplayer with all of the DLC alongside ODST for about that price so it wouldn't be ridiculously unreasonable.
Microsoft is either lying, or being incredibly Daft. as ive said in another thread, the work involved in porting halo 3 would pale in comparison to the ammount of money they would get in return. they are looking at and incredibly easy way of making a butt-load of money off of a game thats more or less dead sales-wise in its current form, and thinking- yeah lets not do that for no real reason. microsoft is a such a big and successful company, i fail to see how they could be unaware of the demand for a halo 3 port.
The PS3 had tons of exclusives, unless you're talking about the earlier years where "PS3 has no games" was pretty accurate.
There was pretty no reason to get a PS3 over a 360 or Wii for the first few years because nobody was developing anything worthwhile for it.
You know what would be nice? if Halo 3's Forge came updated with some of the improvements they put in Reach. I remember that the game's stock maps were really basic when it came to Forge; it was basically just a redecorating tool for them. Later maps like Sandbox had the heavy-duty stuff that allowed you a lot more freedom (and for some reason, those objects came with a convenient physics glitch too), and Reach's Forge built upon that heavily with the addition of precision positioning tools, a broader object pallette, etc. Gametype creation was also expanded upon greatly, and I remember liking Reach's Forge (at least when it came to the big purpose-built Forge map; the others were a bit lacking) a lot more than Halo 3's.
The thing I would like is for Halo 2's Multiplayer to come back, that's a big thing that was ripped from the community. I went over to the forum some months ago when they announced about the servers shutting down and what not, they we infuriated. They didn't even want them to go down, so why did they do it? Because they can. Bastards.

But the reason why were shutting it down was because the population was terrible.

Especially GFWL :suicide:
well why would you be whining for a PC version if you never played it on the 360?
In addition to what the other guy said about being left hanging after Halo 2, you do realize it's completely possible to know someone who owns or owned a 360 and had it, right?
because it's dead
unless you're refering custom games, this notion is a fabrication.
Wankers, they're missing out on a lot of money and a cool new ~community~
Wankers, they're missing out on a lot of money and a cool new ~community~
I really hope they're just trying to bullshit us and not get us hyped up in case of issues during the port etc.
In addition to what the other guy said about being left hanging after Halo 2, you do realize it's completely possible to know someone who owns or owned a 360 and had it, right?
but if they loved it so much, they would not have sold their 360
but if they loved it so much, they would not have sold their 360
Or the 360 broke, or was stolen, and they don't have money to replace a $200-plus console that's going to be obsolete very soon, but would be willing to pay $30 for a port on the PC they already own?
