Fact or not, denying it should not be a crime and it's stupidly authoritarian to make it one.
It definitely shouldn't be a crime, you're right. Still, it's a shame.
I know you're not serious but the royal family aren't any better than the morons we have governing us right now. "Hey so there are dumbfucks everywhere who want to do these things that are clearly only beneficial to corporate interests, and briefly at that. Do you think we should be campaigning for both better government as well as a functioning opposition in Parliament?" "Nah just hand over all the power to the literal unelected ruling class we only keep around for tourism, because the media makes them seem like 'people' rather than glorified museum pieces" Again, I know you're joking, but this line of thinking is offensive and wrong and I just can't trust this country not to want a 'Parlexit' because thinking for yourselves and getting politically active is too much work and people like meme solutions. It's a bit like if I'd said "lol seriously wondering why the Americans with half a brain aren't instituting hereditory rule for the Clintons, it'd really clear up this clusterfuck of an election season for once and for all"
We're pretty much that already. Clinton has the presidency handed to her on a silver platter and political dynasties have had a precedent since FDR, going up through Bush and now the Clintons. It's a cycle we can't break out of.
I don't think "clexit" will really garner much support.
That was just an example as I can't recall any groups. But having groups and politicians sponsored by big corporations to spout blatant misinformation is just terrible tbh
Wow are we seriously suggesting some kind of hivemind of brexit supporters that are now crexit supporters then? The thread title also suggests this. Some members seem to be wallowing in some kind of Brexit butt madness. I don't think there is any real connection between the 2 tbh.
Connection being people who regard shills and stooges higher than actual experts. Experts said leaving would be worse - they are right. Experts say climate change is real - they are right. But we are tired of experts right. I'ma go pick a guy off the street and let him decide education policy experts are for losers in suits amirite?

Or is this just more bollocks to associate everything bad in the world with Brexit.
climate change is an eu conspiracy to keep good honest english coal mines shut for good thankfully bozza johnson and the gang told them what for, pits open tomorrow lads, bring yer wellies! [sp]/s[/sp]
I bet this is coming from that douche who made 'Brexit: the movie' he's a climate change denier, which doesn't make it suprising that he is against the EU because of the regulations it imposes
Hopefully you are on your own with that.
In terms of how many facts you have to deny to believe either of them, yes they are pretty much on the same level.
I hold climate change denial to the same level as Holocaust denial.
That's ridiculous. Holocaust denial is a fringe position held mostly by neo-Nazis and some Islamists. They have very little power to use their twisted views for anything. Climate change denial is a position accepted by a significant portion of the public and promoted by people with extreme amounts of power in business and government. There's a chance that the next US President could be a climate change denialist, which is a serious threat to the future of the human species. You can't say that about Holocaust denial at all.
"Clexit" sounds like some sort of sexual maneuver.
I would say this stands no chance but after the Brexit result I don't have faith in the British people to think straight. I miss the days when I could mock other countries, safe in the belief that British people were the best.
Y'all "pimbly-bimbily picadilly jumfily" snots were gettin' too big fer yer stuffy-ass britches. And so were yer teeth.
