Oh my he will make big giant green dildos using his ring.....
Well as if the character wasn't bad enough, you have to make him gay to make people buy your comics. Fucking hell, might as well relaunch Batman as a homosexual black hispanic who has aids and hates capitalism.
Now they need a bad gay guy who rapes straight heros.
let's recap slutty starfire, blexican spider-man, gay green lantern why? why change anything at all if it serves no purpose? I understand a universe actually being different (set in a different time period, bad guys rule the world, space, whatever) but why make a whole new universe just to fuck with all the established characters

It was sad to see Ult Peter go but Miles seems pretty cool. I really want to see what happens when 616 Peter meets Miles in Spider-men.
I'm sure somewhere out there Batman is shaking his head at this immorality, as he tells the Boy Wonder "To the Bat pole!"
Give it a few more issues. Characterising Green Lantern as gay is going to be laid on a bit strong at this point because it's a recent change to the character. There's nothing wrong with being gay and if the comics industry has stopped pushing gay characters to the sidelines or excessively brutalising them for no reason except to add angst, this is a good change.

ey look, look, we modern! money pls?
did anyone ever find romantic interests in super hero comics interesting anyway? unless a main plot point is when the villains bait him into a trap with rock hard cock, theres no point in saying a character is gay, straight, or whatever.

So Green Lantern is gay and Spiderman is half-black/half-muslim/half-whatever the halves are?
So Green Lantern is gay and Spiderman is half-black/half-muslim/half-whatever the halves are?
Both are set in alternate universes. Alan Scott is still straight on Earth 1 and Peter is still Spidey in the main universe(616).
Here's the page BTW
That's gay [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] Aww
More gay is more attention these days.
you are all severely underestimating the effect that having a gay hero to look up to can have on oppressed young homosexuals. it's harder to see being gay as "wrong" that way, which is fantastic. whether DC is doing this for the money or not is irrelevant. it's a good thing.

hey guys look our character is gay too! guys look really he's gay! guys seriously he's like super gay! guys?
Robin would fit better.
awww man, I hate it when superheros have love interests. I prefer it when they're miserable and lonely and they can't be in relationships because the job comes first or they don't want to get them involved
Robin would fit better.
No he wouldn't.Why? Because it's Batmans 10 year-old son, Damian, who is a trained killer and genius who has had practically no contact with anyone apart from Bruce, Alfred and Talia. Will people stop saying that Robin is gay? Dick is a cheating asshole who's slept with pretty much every female hero, Jason was killed by Joker then brought back years later and started fucking Dicks ex and Tim Drake, after being stuck with his face between Batgirls boobs in an enclosed space for a couple hours is trying to cover his boner with his cape so Batman and Batgirl don't notice. THERE THAT'S WHY NONE OF THE ROBINS ARE GAY!
to be honest, I've always wanted a gay super hero
I don't really care if they are gay or hetero, or even furry for that matter, as long as they kick ass and are cool.

Well... That just ruined the movie. The part where he is sleeping around with random girls and doing that girl at the end. Better remake that too.
Well... That just ruined the movie. The part where he is sleeping around with random girls and doing everything he can to save her at the end. do you really care that much about the slander and libel of fictional characters
lol calm down dude
It just pisses me off when people who don't actually read comics start making stupid ass comments based upon a cartoon, movie or article they read about a hero which are usually completely inaccurate.
Christ people learn to read. This is a different Green Lantern in alternate universe. Movie was Hal Jordan, this is Alan Scott.
It's still the same character, and I've never exactly followed comic books so I had no idea that relaunches take place in a paralell universe. For all I know, that first sentence meant he could traverse realities or something. Edit: Nevermind, I get what you're saying now. The part about it actually being a different green lantern went right over my head for some reason. I had no idea there were multiple 'green lanterns'.
They decided to hop on the homosexual bandwagon.
Ugh, just leave stuff alone and stop branding it with a sexuality.
