Razer creates new 'Game Booster' to boost performance

I already got it
It prevented torchlight 2 from launching and it will close any application that it thinks it needs to close without first telling you. It will do this for any game it deems a game also (games for windows live marketplace is one example)

BASICALLY ITS HORRIBLE IN ITS CURRENT STATE

It has only detected 11 games out of about 40 I have installed.

I bet it tries to detects them through directories, and not through the registry ;)

It does a horrible job and prevents me from playing games
It is the worst thing ever.
it is actively scanning running processes and can cause some problems as well.
The video is even more cheesier:

That binary code must mean serious shit; almost as serious as streaming Matrix code.
Pfft, yeah no. I've gone through a couple DeathAdders over a single year and my buddy broke his $80 Razer mouse that my hand just couldn't use. I bought a G500 2 years ago and have made my point to treat it as if I cared very little about it, half the fiber sheathing has been torn away and I just took a lighter to it because it was annoying.
I bought an original G15 around when I bought the Deathadder back in 08 or 09 or something, still worked like the day I got it despite a little paint wearing off and being hit against things to clean the stuff out of it and for some reason thinking it's a table with food finding it's way into it all the time. I passed it off to a buddy and bought a G110 when I got my G500 and both with a little cleaning both look and work brand new. Unlike the Deathadder which would get some nasty build up from your hands absolutely everywhere unlike any mouse I've ever used and the plastic slider feet would fall off along with the mouse slightly discoloring.
My Razer products always broke, the fucking left click broke on one because it's a flimsy piece of plastic about a 1/8th the size of a micro sd and the side buttons simply stopped working on the first. I treated these mice the nicest of any I've ever owned and simply using them would break them.
You might just be a shitty mouse owner in general, my Deathadder 3500dpi has lasted the longest of any mouse I've ever owned. Remember, you don't need to pound your fucking left and right clicks to get them to register. Besides the fact that your sole experience with a broken mouse does not equate to all of Razer developing bad mice, this post reeks of bias and I can't find a shred of objectivity anywhere in here. Maybe write something a little less convoluted with personal opinion and THEN we might be able to continue a discussion about the brand.

If I pay 100 dollars for a mouse I expect to be able to sweat on it in the summer without it dying. The Razer mouse that I owned held up alright and it performed quite well. I'm still not sure it was worth the cost.
Their keyboards on the other hand are just so many different levels of wrong.
Can I use this to help me be better at pong?
Does your atari support the system requirements for the Game Booster?
Soooo... did anyone actually read to the bottom and notice it basically has fraps for free? Anyone tried it yet and see if it works any good?
Also, the "Screencast" looks like they just copied fraps.
I bet 10$ that it runs like SHIT compared to the real thing.
Razer's products durability is absolute and utter shit, this is my second Deathadder now in the span of 6 months. Synapse is terrible and a giant memory hog, and I got a beta invite for the Booster thing. It's pretty much Game Booster 3.5 but with a different color scheme.
I must say, though, I really love the Deathadder as a mouse.
Razer, FFS, stick to peripherals.
I have a set of their 2.1 speakers and their Mamba mouse. IT'S GOOD SHIT.
But Razer shouldn't:
A) Make/design computers
B) Make software
I actually use game booster 3.5 and it does improve my performance a little.
The razer software I already have doesn't even work. It just crashes on start then tries to re-launch and fails to re-load properly because it didn't load with admin rights.
The software in question? G15 Screen drivers.

Maybe you should do research about what the product is, and who it's made by before you bitch at Razer. Gamebooster is made by IObit. IObit was going to make it a paid product, but razer funded it instead, so it stays free for the consumers.

and it is now a horrible product
People still use these utilities?
Ah, yes.
My evil twin, we meet again.

But IOrbit is shit too. It's "Advanced System Care" is a scam of a program that does the standard windows maintenance applications things behind a shiny user interface, full of technical buzzwords without actual information, that helpfully informs you with a big sad red smiley how "poor" your PC is performing when you first install it, shifts to a green "good performance" smiley and then proceeds to tell you that you apparently have a few PC problems that can only be fixed by upgrading to the paid version of the software.
I stopped reading at " the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware"
so they just re-bought the original gamebooster and now they call it a "new razer product"?
woaw
