I'm sorry, but I happen to like Taco Bell and Fox.
You guys should protest against fox or something
And since its a mainstream game everyone (including casual gamers) will join.
That's dumb.
Yeah, the modern warfare series are fun and all, but I do like the actual historic ones alot better.
Hint : you're not supposed to enjoy killing the innocent people.

In a game, I do.

Now, I agree that everyone likes to run over bunches of pedestrians in GTA IV, and people happily play the evil character in games like Fallout 3, blowing heads off with glee. Hell, I've absorbed my fair share of screaming civilians in Prototype, without so much as a twinge of regret.
I think this scene in MW2 is different.
Something about it is just horrifying. You coldly slaughter (well, your partners, maybe not you) a ton of random people waiting around in an airport. There's no funny physics, gratuitous gore, or silly AI to laugh at. There's no kind of reward for killing civilians (like there is in Prototype, it's pretty much necessary in that game), there's no XP bonus, nothing. Just a bunch of lives being snuffed out for no reason other than terror and a sense of twisted righteousness.
It's an extremely powerful scene that really shows the plight of the non-combatant in wars and terrorist attacks.
I just want to make one thing clear : I don't think it should be removed or that the game should be banned. The scene is necessary to make you hate [sp]Makarov[/sp] more, and to generally reflect the toll that war takes on normal people.
The Fox people had probably not actually played the game.

Besides the gay music and all that, that was one fucked up ending.

Okay, I just watched all of that and now I can't take that scene seriously any more.
Thanks, Benny Hill, now I'm going straight to hell.

The annotations made it worse.

This is so wrong. They're not alive. They never were. Hell, they probably don't even have virtual families.
There's no question there's correlation between violent games and kids
Correlation does not equal Causation.
That video was actually awesome! It is actually surprisingly realistic, people carrying other people to safety.
I'm surprised Fox has a problem with this game... it's so... American! You get to play as a Marine killing Islamics and shit....
Oh wait, I'm thinking of COD4... but I'd assume it's not that different from MW2...

If you never sympathise with fictional characters, you may as well not read books or watch films and T.V. programmes.

Sympathy =/= crying over how a scene is violent/offending and should be cut.
Besides the gay music and all that, that was one fucked up ending.
Now that is fucking unrealistic. Seriously, they blast 30 people away in seconds? And no one stops them?
And then they stopped right in front of a jet turbine without being sucked into it...
Meh, the game's casual shit anyway.

I mean overall. Hell, russians made their panties wet after hearing you kill russians.

Fair enough.
Somehow, I think the game would be banned in a lot more places if those were explicitly American or British civilians (keep in mind though, it's in an airport so there's going to be loads of different people.)

If it would be in us airport, people would think it was a 9/11 prequel :D
Infinity Ward may be absolute dicks towards PC gamers, but they are the fucking geniuses when it comes to marketing.
Think about it, by including this "civilian killing thing", they just had their game be plastered all over news media outlets, without spending a single dime.

And because of that even more teens will get it just to see it. Yeah that's a good idea.
I don't know what you are babbling about, but if you somehow think that more teens getting it just to see it doesn't result in sales I wanna know what drug you are taking.

I see if a game is on news, good or bad ones, it's going to get bought much more, mainly by teens.

fuck
Fox are faggots
The moment I entered the airport with the machine gun and began blowing away people. I knew I had to be INB4SHITSTORM. Some news station is gonna flip shit about this and advise parents to never buy this amazing title for their children. Yeah they most likely just did it so more people would buy the game.
