Thats bullshit, you dont always control your emotions and you dont always know WHY you feel that way. Robots will never have emotions like humans.
You've just defined natural emotions. Thanks. The brain is nothing more than a computer developed over millions of years. Everything we do is just based on organic programming. Really, the only difference between a sentient robot and a person is that the person can reproduce and grow without outside influence, where as the robot can't, and even that isn't completely true. People freak out about robots having emotions because over the years, writers and movie makers have created this idea of the rampaging, murderous robots staging an uprising. They've created the idea that this is unavoidable with robots. The reality is that, in almost every single instance of this, the cause was because these intelligent robots were regarded as nothing more than slaves. And honestly, who could blame them for revolting if this is the case?
It's called the Frankenstein complex. It always strikes me as odd that in most cases, people will attack them once they gain sentience or will just continuously treat them badly. Once they become intelligent, is it so hard to treat them as peers instead of enemies? I guess it falls back to the slavery of Africans and the odd fear that they are out to get you.
Thats bullshit, you dont always control your emotions and you dont always know WHY you feel that way. Also as I read that post Sentient 6 by Nevermore started playing :tinfoil:
Thats bullshit, you dont always control your emotions and you dont always know WHY you feel that way. Robots will never have emotions like humans.
That's right! We're special. :jerkbag:
Doesn't really sound like it has emotions, just that it's been programmed to look like it has.
By that logic, humans don't have emotions either. Our brains are just programmed to look like we do
Shit like this creeps me the fuck out.
Atleast it has the three basic laws of robotics.
Woah, no Badage boys here
It's not like emotions are some untouchable, spiritual thing. Emotions are just how our brain percieves our natural responses to stimulation. We get hurt by something, and we naturally want to get some kind of retribution. It feels like anger, but all it is is just a response, just like a machine.
This is shit. Was expecting real emotions.
Science is awesome :science:
Some one send this thread to the robot so it gets butthurt
Yeah, a robot is a computer, computer's don't have emotions. If statement = abusive Then display Emotion.Upset... etc. It takes code and shows what we think a real person would react as.
We are computers too, bro.

People always think we are "special (:downs:)", while we are just organic machines with an electrochemical computer for a brain... Our emotions are reactions to various triggers. Nothing more, nothing less.
Why are they working on emotions? Haven't they seen terminator!
Make them self aware already!
Soon he will be constructed.
Will ya look at that? Robots will never have emotions, do microchips have emotions? No.
Humans will never have emotions, do cells have emotions? No.
We are much like robots.
Soon he will be constructed.
By a 10 year old?
one step closer to my sex robot, or the end of the world, or the end of the world with sex robots.
one step closer to my sex robot, or the end of the world, or the end of the world with sex robots.
I can imagine sex robots taking over the world. Oh the chaos.
I for one, welcome our new sexbot overlords.
That's right! We're special. :jerkbag:
We are NOT superior to evolution... Which is the point of my post.
This is what happens when you give robots emotions.
Will ya look at that? Robots will never have emotions, do microchips have emotions? No.
Do gobs of flesh have emotion?
This is shit. Was expecting real emotions.
This. They were about a decade late.

Fake emotions, too bad.
Doesn't really sound like it has emotions, just that it's been programmed to look like it has.
Indeed. But hopefully robots with the minds of Avidians have emotions.
