And so begins the first steps to robot self awareness...then eventually..lets just hope the terminator movies taught us something.

At first, i was a little worried "oh shit, robots with emotions oh shit oh shit this is just like iRobot oh shit WERE GONNA NEED WILL SMITH UP IN THIS BITCH" But then i read a few posts. Now i just want my own marvin
Let's pretend that we have no knowledge of the human brain or how a computer works. Now let's imagine that a robot is so capable of acting human that if you were to have a conversation with it. You wouldn't be able to tell that it was a robot. Couldn't you consider that robot to no just be human like but to be a living being? How can we be sure that other people have thoughts, feelings, emotions, is it just because they tell us that they do? That they show signs that they do? But can we really be sure that they do? Imagine a person's brain to be a black box, information goes in, and information comes out. If two black boxes both output the same data from the same input, how do we know there is a difference? We don't. Now we can open up both of the black boxes and see how they both work, and there is a good chance they could work in very different ways, but can one be considered to create something genuinely and the other not? Now in my opinion, robots will never achieve a full life like state because the primary hinderance will be people.
