It's over! Congress agrees to end government shutdown, avert debt default

Every representative that voted against the bill should be thrown out of office. By voting against it they were pretty much voting for a default and a complete fuck-up of not only the US economy but the whole global economy.

They won't, though, because their constituents love them.
Is there a list of which reps voted against it, anyway?

enjoy
I may have a Republican rep but thank god he's no teahadist
Well...nothing will deteriorate. That's progress. Right?....Right?
in economics a period of no progress and no deterioration is called stagnation which is a pretty bad sign.

Look at Montana, Arkansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, Kentucky and West Virginia.

My post was sarcastic.

My Republican representative voted yes, I'm content with that.

Montana and North Dakota has 1 representative, Nebraska has 3. I don't see how they're relevant to anything, while Kentucky, Arkansas and WV have a much higher number.
I'm happy that almost my entire state voted yes, despite being composed almost entirely of Republicans.
So...Next year the American government gets a "super-shutdown"? Then they have to raise the debt ceiling?
I wonder if it's a good time to invest in gold.
The fox will now be evicted from the White House

Silver would be an easier investment, really. It's overall cheaper than gold, yet moderately valuable as a precious metal.

Looks cooler too.
Silvery metals > all other metals.
meh, they just be delaying
Can't wait to do all this again in 3 months. Good golly, I can feel my cockles warming already.

The best investment for a worldwide financial collapse is toilet paper, trust me.
I hope the Republican party doesn't take too much of a hit from this
But it wasn't Republicans who made it happen; a majority of that party's caucus actually voted against the measure, which only passed because of overwhelming Democratic support.
Fucking Dickwagons. Would rather watch the world burn if they don't get their way. True colors
I hope the Republican party doesn't take too much of a hit from this
I hope they take a huge hit and realize that sucking off the Tea Party isn't doing them any favors.
I hope the Republican party doesn't take too much of a hit from this
Yeah I hope they don't take too big a hit from holding the federal government hostage and not doing their job
How brainwashed can you get
Fucking Dickwagons. Would rather watch the world burn if they don't get their way. True colors
They had better fucking not have the gall to blame this whole disaster on anyone. I will never for the life of me understand why the government gets its panties in such a bundle when it comes to funding. Like, shouldn't it just be common sense for most of it?
Now that fox can be removed from the White House lawn :v:

Oh god damn it.
I hope the Republican party doesn't take too much of a hit from this
Too late. Ted Cruz's approval rating has tanked massively and now he looks like a pussy in front of all the Tea Party wingnuts he was trying to pander to.
I hope the Republican party doesn't take too much of a hit from this
really, because i hope they get fucking destroyed over this
really, because i hope they get fucking destroyed over this
I'd be fine with the party collapsing. We'd get a Democratic party for a while, but it would hopefully give rise to future conflicts being between a new Center-Left and Center-Right instead of our current Center-Right and Psychotic-Far-Right.
This entire farce is getting me weary, either we have money or we don't. If we are just going to pretend like we have money then what's the point in even using it? We might as well switch to a system of mutual reciprocity because money doesn't seem to actually mean anything other than being a "Go" light for people to do their jobs.
I live in utah. Apparantly even though we paid to open up our parks we still wanted the government shutdown to continue.
Post-poning the default will just make the inevitable currency crash even worse. Just let it happen, so that we may instead move to a single international currency.

Well nothing of value was lost in Ted Cruz :x

Pretty much this. I live in Utah as well, so it confuses me. You would think that our national parks, being one of our most important economic things, should be open and a priority, but apparently it's not to some certain Representatives.
When will this come into effect? Because I just recently got back from the St Louis arch which was closed. :cries:
