What's funny is that Bobby Kotick doesn't actually make games, but he still gets blamed when people don't like the games his company produces. CEOs attend board meetings and manage financials their whole day. The absolute last thing you'll see him doing is working on one of the games Activision is making. It isn't even his decision to set a pricepoint on DLC. That's the marketing team. You guys give this guy too much grief.

So the marketing team would come up with something like "We'll make the MW2 map pack $15", and then it would work it's way up to the Vice President of Marketing. And if it was lucky, it might make it to Kotick's desk, but that's unlikely. CEO's have enough to worry about, they don't need to make every little decision in a corporation. So they have a management group they can trust to make decisions like that for them.

You'd have to be stupid to say he hasn't manipulated either the staffing or just injected his decisions directly to get his way.

Thats the only reason why it's so popular is because it was a sequel to a fucking amazing game and it's target audience was the 13 year olds the reason why every hates him is because he's a money laundering whore who doesn't care about the quality of what he produces only the money he makes out of it. I remember when at one point he wanted blockbuster games to be sold for something like $120USD, For regular versions And Warcraft is only a poplar game because blizzard puts work into their game and don't let anyone tell them what the fuck to do with it, Yes activision has had some impact on these games like paid services, mounts and pets but hell I don't see why you don't hate him. Activision needs to change their business model, and soon. The bulk of their sales (of MW2; MW1 was a great game.) are to idiots who play xbox live and are the same idiots playing Halo sequel after sequel. There is no justification for exploiting the gaming community because they can. So reading this thread, this is all I got. One loud mouthed person (thisispain) thinks that video games sales are all the makes a game good. His only argument is that CoD sold tons of copies, so therefor it's a good game. And anytime anyone has an opinion, it's instantly wrong because it's an opinion. Not a fact. What he fails to realize is that everyone has the same opinion, so far. Maybe you should take note of that. Everyone else seems to have differing argument styles, and that's okay. But thisispain is being one loud mouthed asshole, that refuses to acknowledge anyone else's ideas. Someone needs to learn to get over himself.

Activision's C.O has done well but the way he has ingored some of the PC gamers community idea makes it slightly sad. Also I want to ask if you could please tone down the way you are making your arugement, it seems like you are trying to grind other people views into the dirt.
The only way i'm gonna trust Activision agian is if the next CoD is 30 Euro's or less, for charging so much for MW2.
