Uh maybe because it isn't designed to be used with a mouse?
There is a difference between not being designed for a mouse, and effectively not being able to use the mouse to exit after it annoyingly opened without me wanting to(like turning off my DS4).
personally use a modified Air skin which I'm very happy with

I see you also changed the avatars to squares :v:

Could you tell me how you got the online count showing up, because not having it is the most annoying thing about this skin.

There's also a bug that sporadically gets reintroduced (like 99% of the bugs in Steam) where certain combinations of buttons during typing will open big picture mode. There seriously needs to just be an option in Steam's settings to entirely disable it. I've never once opened it on purpose and have zero interest in it yet I've had it open on accident dozens of times and a several of those times accidentally exited Steam completely rather than just exiting big picture mode.

Big fan of modern Air for Steam, myself.
That looks nice but I don't like the colors. Too vibrant for my tastes. Reminds me of Android Lollipop

It comes with like 8 different color options.
I've felt the bpm was a pain to handle with a mouse
You are not supposed to use BPM with a mouse. It's made for controllers.

Air classic > "Modern" Air
don't know what PixelVision is, I use the superior Metro UI skin for Steam
I had used pixel vision for a long time as my first skin, but then I found Steam Compact skin which imo is better
Thank you so much for unintentionally finding me a good skin.

I've been messing around with it and it's very customizable. According to the dev's patreon, he's going to make a standalone application for users to change colors around without fucking with ini files. Join the Steam group if you're interested.
I completely forgot Steam had skins. I stopped using them when they did the major facelift a few years back. I just installed Metro and tweaked it a bit and like it

I they let us disable BP fully I would switch to my DS4 as my full time controller rather than as a backup to my wired360.

Just use somethng like http://dsdcs.com/portfolio/software-development/4-ds4windows
It emulates an X360 control using a PS4 controler and works over bluetooth
I just installed this skin for the first time
Holy FUCK this is awesome!
It is suprising how many don't know that you can skin steam.
Do we have a steamskin thread in the Steam section?
If not then maybe it is time.
Do you have a link to this specific Classic skin? I keep finding this other version that looks like a hybrid between classic and new.
I'm almost certain he's using this one. It seems to have everything but the old sounds, which I think is because sound mods don't work anymore, and the old store UI.

No, I don't have any problem using the controller, its that turning it off requires you to hold down the PS button, as in the button that turns on big picture.
as in the button that turns on big picture.
Almost forgot that BP can be triggered like that on controllers.
It's the fucking worst
wow, i honestly didn't even know steam had skins. is there a retro one? that would be cool to see.
if you mean retro as in the classic steam, there's an OFGSRemake skin (old fat green steam)
RIP sweet prince. I used that skin for the longest time, until I found a flat black version of Metro.

So if you dont know what it is, then how are you using a "superior" skin?
Dark as my soul desktop :v:
Fuck yea. :v:
This is how it looks like, most of the time:
[img_thumb]http://i5.minus.com/iM7oxnqHks3F7.png[/img_thumb]
There are some minor annoyances, for instance... it highlights *all* the games in the library, not just the installed ones... in that screenshot, I currently have Batman: Arkham City, Aliens vs. Predator, Bioshock and Blood: The Chosen installed, and the rest of them aren't greyed out - as in, not installed. And the Big Picture icon is on top of the "back" browser button, which triggers Big Picture every time, if you're not careful... but all in all, I don't mind (yet).
I still launch all games via "right click + game" from the taskbar icon, though.
this news wouldn't be so bad to me if pixelvision wasn't the only skin (default included) that didn't look shit-ugly to me
Speaking of skins, Blue Pulse doesn't look half bad IMO.

Needs updating
Just download the latest version of metro and reapply the colour changes
checking both steam.styles files is a good place to look, some image files may also need replacing I guess
I feel like one of those special people who stopped using skins because each steam update broke them and I couldn't be fucking arsed fixing them.
Default one's improved a fair bit over the years but it still wastes a fuckload of space.
