Quiet doesn't mean terrible, of the three companies, Sony has probably gone the furthest and seen the least amount of stuff come out of it. They made literal consoles for cheap, with linux, for people to build with. People turned around and used them for piracy. Sony has quite honestly never seen a return, infact some of the best selling indie games for the PS3 were games done by their first party devs, during their fucking free time. That's how little console hacking has done, everyone talks about the homebrew shit for the PSP but that was so few and far between.
The original Xbox homebrew scene was actually pretty great. People came up with all kinds of tools useful tools and ways to exploit the system and mod games on it. Now I'll be honest, piracy was still a big motivator. But XBMC (now Kodi) started as a homebrew program for the Xbox and it's evolved to be a seriously powerful media center platform. Another fun fact, Colors! was originally a DS homebrew drawing program. It even took advantage of the pressure sensitivity on the OG DS and DS Lite, which no games used essentially. Now its an official Nintendo eShop game for the 3DS and successful one at that. Success stories are few and far between, but they do happen.
Yeah, Sony is the worst company on earth. Like, I literally can't think of any other company who could possibly be worse. Seriously, no other company is as evil and bastard-y as Sony, that's for absolutely certain.
lol, i think he understands now that what he said is pretty cringe

So, are they releasing stuff or are they keeping it all to themselves? First reports said they wouldn't release anything, now there's talks they'll release the method on how to linux? These guys might be geniuses but they're really finnicky on decisions.

Oh right, I can't believe I completely forgot the previous raids and that we're dealing with Sony here. I guess they're just really clever then.
Well they could've let it slowly leak around the tor network for example, should leave no traces whatsoever, slowly spreading the infos about it and eventually someone will upload or post how it's done on reddit and get banned, then the cycle repeats.
