Wow, I would never publicly say anything like this no matter how good I was doing.
Well fuck me for having an opinion then huh?
You have an opinion. We have the right to disagree with it.
At least most Republicans understand what the constitution is all about.
Besides using the 2nd amendment as an argument for unrestricted weapons sales, they do not.
At least most Republicans understand what the constitution is all about.
You're right, except that whole "separation of church and state" and "freedom of speech" the 4th amendment, and the fifth....need I go on?
At this point, Obama isn't simply the most sensible choice; he's practically the only choice if you look at all the amorphous shambling geriatric fanatical fat cat lizard-people that are insane enough to be lined up for candidacy. Basically if it's anyone other than Obama in the Oval Office in 2013, we're all in mortal danger. Unless we get another sensible Democratic candidate that we can trust with the keys to the kingdom.
If anyone wants to fix the department of education what they need to do is give it powers so it can snatch away the power from school boards that have gone totally corrupt or are under investigation. Leaving school board members in power where they can just run the shit into the ground helps no one. I mean, look at this shit: http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/clayton/stories/2008/08/28/clayton_schools_accreditation.html
2008: wow this guy is so cool let's let him be President 2012: oh god this guy is the only sane person left he needs to be President or we are all going to die
He might not keep his promises, but shit will hit the fan when any of the republicans will keep their promises.
Hes kept about 80% of the things he promisised to do. Others he was blocked by congress, hes kept his word very well
At least most Republicans understand what the constitution is all about.
Money and power are more important than honor and righteousness. Private interests are more meaningful than public interests and concerns. All socialization is bad, but all privatization is good. Pander to your conservative, fundamentalist Christian constituents; everyone else can go fuck themselves. At a glance, that all seems rather contradictory to what's in the Constitution.
You should still vote for him as a Republican nominee.
you have to join the republican party to do that. [editline]6th February 2012[/editline]
Private education will be forced into competition, thus improving quality at increasingly lower cost to anyone.
the concept of education not being free is crass and disgusting.
I don't know if I'll vote for Obama again but I'm less likely to vote for anyone else. He's been a mediocre president, but if any of the Republican candidates get into office, I'm terrified for the nation. [editline]6th February 2012[/editline]
you have to join the republican party to do that.
Not necessarily.
Meh. Bush, Obama, Paul. They're just puppets anyway. Not much will change.
Not necessarily.
does it differ by state? i know in california you have to be in the party to vote in a primary.
Meh. Bush, Obama, Paul. They're just puppets anyway. Not much will change.
The only time a president actually does something is in his second term. Even if they are puppets.
Meh. Bush, Obama, Paul. They're just puppets anyway. Not much will change.
Better is that nothing change than having all change for worst. Vote Democrat!
does it differ by state? i know in california you have to be in the party to vote in a primary.
Yeah. Depends on state. Virginia has open primaries, no party restriction.
Yeeeahh... I can't really see myself breaking the cycle of voting for the lesser of two evils. Obama's aight, he can have my vote again.
Let me explain to you what he probably has in mind about privatized education. The system right now sucks. No amount of money ever fixes the problems with the system. Most of us aren't really learning much of anything except how to regurgitate math formulas we don't really understand and sugar-coated propaganda history. Businesses want to make money, and to do that they must do what they do well. Private education will be forced into competition, thus improving quality at increasingly lower cost to anyone. This is why anything else privatized usually works well (except the medical system, which is dominated by big pharma cabals).
Except getting the most money doesn't always mean providing the better service. Businesses always look for shortcuts, and if you privatize education, you're not only likely to get a biased curriculum, but they're going to actively search for ways to shortchange their students. The invisible hand is a crazy, crazy deranged beast.
I really hope that Paul and Obama have a nice debate before either of them is elected. If Obama wins, I hope he takes some of Paul's policies and ideals into consideration (sans privatized education and state government>central government.)
The only time a president actually does something is in his second term. Even if they are puppets.
In that case Obama NEEDS the second term to fix what's gone wrong with their country. Hopefully his final act before leaving the Oval Office will be making soulless capitalism and the rich getting richer (aka the 1%) a crime against America and the world.
Vote Vermin Supreme
Meh. Bush, Obama, Paul. They're just puppets anyway. Not much will change.
Who is Ron Paul a puppet of? I know conspiracy theorists go all "LOL BILDERBURGS" when they talk about Bush or Obama, but Paul?
I really hope that Paul and Obama have a nice debate before either of them is elected. If Obama wins, I hope he takes some of Paul's policies and ideals into consideration (sans privatized education and state government>central government.)
I would really like to see Paul and Obama have a debate. I just really don't want Paul to get elected. Paul'd be a one term president anyway seeing as how he'd hardly ever exercise any power beyond the strict interpretation of the constitution and constantly be butting heads with all of congress over it. I can't really see Paul being able to get anything done.
Since the Super Bowl is over I'll place my bet on Obama getting a second term. I really can't picture any of the other candidates as president.
So sad we have to pick and choose which canidates are the least retarded.

I am the .07 percent.
Yea, Obama deserves another term. He caught a lot of shit in his fan on this one and I think that he can only do better next term.
Hopefully his final act before leaving the Oval Office will be making soulless capitalism and the rich getting richer (aka the 1%) a crime against America and the world.
I doubt it, his puppeteers are those rich people getting richer.
What exactly has he done that he 'deserves' another term? I have noticed absolutely no changes for the better in the time he's been president. Prices where I live for everyday things keep increasing rather than going down. He's released or signed no beneficial bills(Remember NDAA?) that I've heard of, and he still has not fulfilled any of his promises he made in 2009. He can walk around saying "OH, I CAPTURED OSAMA BIN LADEN!" No matter how many times he says it, though, the only people who deserve credit for that operation are the military tacticians who planned it out beforehand.
