Let's just leave the bastards there to fuck villagers up some more, seeing as it was the US presence that drew them out more. Totally fair to innocent lives. It takes years of planning to withdraw in a sensible manner. Pull your head out of your ass. This is also why the US is still in bad shape, decisions Bush made 4 or so years ago started to become noticeable as Obama came into office, Obama's changes will take the same kind of time to have a noticeable effect. It doesn't happen overnight.

Obviously there were some operations that did result in attacks from allied soldiers, but a large part of the removal of troops was making sure the civilian forces there knew what the fuck to do if trouble started brewing again. Well, kind of anyway. Some of those forces didn't exactly work out well with corruption and shit like that constantly showing up.
