day one buy for me fuck all the haters
OK enjoy the turd sitting on you're hard drive.
Activision said recently it has received over 5,000 applicants to fill the vacancies. and i bet every single one of them was complete shit or done by a child [editline]16th February 2011[/editline] i kinda wanna know what the place was Nikolai was talking about
I hated Call of Duty since the first one on PC
Well this game IS developed by Infinity Ward (or at least what remains of it) not Treyarch, so technically it will have been two years since the last Modern Warfare release. Doesn't mean it wont suck.
if by Infinity Ward you mean the janitor that's the only person left there then it probably will suck
Black Ops was surprisingly good, with the exception of a few bugs that mostly have been fixed by now. But another Call of Duty game is not going to work out. It will suck.
CoD4 was great. :colbert:
Generic B grade action flick story line, shades of brown and gray in every single corner regardless of the situation, no extra game modes (The Treyarch games had zombies and even MW2 had Spec Ops), the only replay value was in the multiplayer which was the same exact thing all the time. Yes, perfect game. There is nothing generic and uncreative about it. At least in Black Ops we got to play in a less common era, the Cold War.
seriously? i hope they cancel the call of duty series like they did to guitar hero...
It'll suck, I still regret buying Black Ops. I miss the glory days of Cod 1, UO and Cod 2 :smith:
Generic B grade action flick story line.
And you say Black Ops is good! Oh boy!
shades of brown and gray in every single corner regardless of the situation
Once again, Iroooooony!
no extra game modes (The Treyarch games had zombies and even MW2 had Spec Ops).
I'll concede this.
the only replay value was in the multiplayer which was the same exact thing all the time. .
That's pretty much the same thing with Blops and MW2, and still, irony! Plus CoD4 did have a pretty extensive modding community, what with Seven's zombie mod and the many custom maps that were released relatively early.
Yes, perfect game. They're not bad games(I enjoy them from the rare times I play them on a friend's console), but they're by no means very original.
I think this time, they will lose shitload of sales. Look at the amount of big titles that are coming out!
This was five days ago... what happened to this? It says that it won't be Modern Warfare 3, but a new COD http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/710322/New-Call-Of-Duty-FPS-On-Track-For-This-Year.html
Bump because no one gave me an answer
I want it to have a whole space campaign level and a space multiplayer level.

But I honestly think Black Ops had a bit of a different story. Sadly it's true that they all seem to have similar stories. Still, I don't think COD4 deserves the immense respect it gets. All COD games have repetitive multiplayer. The reason I detest COD4 so much is because it's just so fucking generic and bland for a military game. Sure Vietnam is being an overused time setting, but it's nothing close to as overused as the 2000's. And I saw a lot more red than brown and gray.
As long as there is a few airport levels, it will be good for me.
Needs a level where you shoot up an orphanage.
Guys, quit acting like your obliged to buy the game when it comes out. Just ignore the game.
I want it to have a whole space campaign level and a space multiplayer level.
Funny enough Activision already bought the copyright to that.
Oh, isnt that just fucking perfect...ANOTHER hastily made call of duty game...
'LULZ CAWWADOOTY SUXX ITS RUSHed' You just joined the :bandwagon:
'LULZ CAWWADOOTY SUXX ITS RUSHed' You just joined the :bandwagon:
Bandwagons are opinions. This is fact.

There is nothing fundamentally different between any of the three games. The reason CoD4 gets more respect is mainly because it is the first, it's not recycled content like Blops or MW2. It also retained many basic features like dedicated servers and modding capability, something missing in MW2. [editline]19th February 2011[/editline]
'LULZ CAWWADOOTY SUXX ITS RUSHed' You just joined the :bandwagon:
But they are rushed? You can tell it's rushed if the last game came out only last year.
I wish they had stopped at Call of Duty 2; 2 and the preceding games were all the series really needed. Good shit.
the call of duty 1 and 2 intros made me cry true story
Console versions: 70$ for game, 15$ for DLC, 360 gets DLC 6 months before PS3. PC: 60$ for game, 15$ for DLC, gets DLC 6-8 months after 360. Performance sucks dicks, no mod support, no dedicated servers, no server browser, no console, people get randomly banned for no reason.
Not buying it. Instead I'll buy one of the [del]decent[/del] good games coming out like Mass Effect 3, Skyrim and Battlefield 3. [editline]19th February 2011[/editline]
'LULZ CAWWADOOTY SUXX ITS RUSHed' You just joined the :bandwagon:
There are things called opinions y'know.
Their selling another reskin of COD:MW?!
Their selling another reskin of COD:MW?!
I wish they would take another year or so and do more than add some more perks and slightly higher poly models.
Whats next, Future Warfare? Bunch of laser guns with a mini Light-saber as the knife.
And you can throw the saber.
And you can throw the saber.
But the hit detection will make it miss most of the time.
I REALLY hope they lose the Modern Warfare rights in the lawsuit. MW1 was a great story, and while alot people make fun of two I really enjoyed the campaign. I don't want Cashtivision to fuck up the series. [editline]16th February 2011[/editline] I hope Kotick dies an ironic money-related death. [editline]16th February 2011[/editline] Like chocking on a silver dollar, or burning to death with in pile of 100 dollar bills. [editline]16th February 2011[/editline] XM8 is a cool looking gun. It doesn't need to be realistic. No one complained about the G11 in Black Ops, which is even more stupid. V:v:V [editline]16th February 2011[/editline] Am I the only one who really enjoyed MW2 but gave up when the fucking FIFTEEN DOLLAR MAP-PACK CAME OUT?!?!
the G11 was functional and a technical success.
I hope that the story isn't the same as MW2's which was basically just a Michael Bay film.

Ghost was a really dull character with almost zero personality apart from the "badass skull mask xD" thing. The only reason I would buy another CoD game is because I would like to finish the MW storyline (yes, I found it enjoyable, though I can understand if someone didn't like it)
