Has he acknowledged and apologized for it?
Consisdering how minor his opinion actually was at the time and the fact no one today has pressured it as a scandal where he would be forced into making a response (ex. Grab her in the pussy) i see no reason for an apology.
Dunno if you truly comprehend how long 17 years is, and how much can change in the world and in people.
I'm pretty sick of this. I'm by far a Trump/Pence supporter but if you do a little research he never advocated for that, at most supported a bill or something that could have possibly affected funds for programs like it. Therefore he's probably still anti LGBT but it's a bit of a stretch to say he wants to zap all gays straight.
Holy shit, someone who actually checked in to it instead of just believing whatever asserts their beliefs.

He said that 17 years ago but did this only 2 years ago:
On March 26, 2015, Pence signed Indiana Senate Bill 101, also known as the Indiana "religious objections" bill (Religious Freedom Restoration Act, or RFRA), into law. The law's signing was met with criticism by people and groups who felt the law was carefully worded in a way that would permit discrimination against LGBT persons.
I think that's relevant in talking about his ideas/opinions on LGBT rights.

Though I have to say that I dislike that his idea for resources to go "toward those institutions which provide assistance to those seeking to change their sexual behavior" got turned into him wanting full on conversion shock therapy. Lies/ exaggeration on either side is always stupid.
